Cell Phone Numbers Go Public on Monday?

Is this for real?, why has nothing been said in the news?, my apologies for my doubts but does not hurt to have some kind of confirmation

The 888 number works because it is the actual number for the do not call registry. You can register your cell phone, but don't have to....Unless you give your cell # out as your HOME PHONE (and don't specify it's a cell) it is against the LAW for telemarketers to call you on it.

If you live in Colorado... DO NOT PUT YOUR SELF ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!! All Colorado residents are already on the list. If you recieve calls from telemarketers... sue the hell out of em!

Yes, this is for real! If you call the # above... it will explain to you that you are blocking your # from telemarketers and then goes on to tell you that you are able to file complaints IF you still receive calls. The call takes LESS THAN 30 seconds! I ONLY have a cell phone and the last thing I want is to be hassled with telemarketers. You can also block your home #! Just an FYI. The call is free and very quick. Thanks all!

If you did NOT provide your cellphone # to a marketing firm, you can file a complaint regarding telemarketing calls WITHOUT being on the DNC registry.... It's already against the law in the US for them to target cellphone #'s and the cellphone companies provide them with a list of the 'blocks of numbers' owned by the cellphone companies.

WHAT they have been calling me for around 4, 5 months already on the cell ph. I can sue them ey cool . freemoney llike a freeroll. awsome. I am waiting now for the next one. and BAM, mine. PS i will use this for my home ph. .

Letgo, you contact the FTC (the link below has contact info. And if you listed your cell # as your home # on a form (marketing type....ex: sweepstakes entries, etc) and don't SPECIFY it's a cell #, you lost the right to not be called.

If you call the #.... and go thru the process... afterwards, it gives you instructions on how to file a complaint and what information is needed.
