Have folded it preflop at the bubble short stacked.

Hell yes.

Like stassi83 said never preflop but it is just a pair, a great pair but still "JUST A PAIR" if the board has 3-4 cards to the straight/flush and players are betting like they have them it's time to realize your probably beat and lay them down.

Good luck

This has come up soooo many times. There is a really interesting article in this months card player magazine which address's this topic, and the read makes for some interesting points. Whilst I havent got the magazine in front of me, the author of the topic makes discusses 3 situations in which he has previously folded AA both pre and post flop. All of his points are valid, however only one of them sticks to my memory. Basically if you are deep in an MTT, nearing towards the bubble, and you are in the top 9 stacks. A player at your table is the chip leader, and pre flop pushes the majority of stack. Are you going to call? As was the authors opinion and also mine, why would you risk your tourney for the sake of a possible double up. It's different if you are risking 1/2 your stack to eliminate someone, but not worth the risk financially to race at this point. Your in it to win it, and at the end of the day, they are only 2 cards...... crows

Lets say that you have been saving your money for 4 years to buy into the WSOP main event. You have given up vacations and many other extras that make life fun. You have the money, and buy into the main event. The first hand you are in the big blind with AA and 2 people go all in front of you. What do you do with your AA?

I have folded AA quite often. Rarely preflop though. As previously mentioned, it is only 1 pair. But I do get a kick out of the amount of players that will say never.

"Have folded it preflop at the bubble short stacked."

Horrible move.

folding preflop short stacked is a terrible move.......

Never preflop, but have folded it about 10 times after the flop. Thankfully it was proven correct each and every time.

I have... rare, but sometime you just gotta let go...

Only time you'd consider folding AA preflop would be near or on bubble of satellite, where you're for sure ITM.

I hate the comments.... it's only 2cards... it's just a pair... blah blah blah.. you rookies... wake up. For one.. they're talking TOURNAMENT PLAY... not cash tables in your local donkazz casino. Get it in... you're a huge fav. obv.
