Poker tools???

Mar 26, 2009 7:11 pm Report Abuse

First question, Do you or anyone you know use any online poker tools while playing on a website? For instance an odds calculator or any kind of stat tracker? If yes what do you use and why? I have recently been looking into some of these and found some good ones but they seem to run kind of expensive. Also in my research i have found a few illegal ones as well. I am not looking for these cause I have no desire to cheat anyone i just want to improve my game. So can anyone help. Oh also like I said most are kindof expensive so does anyone know any free tools i can try and I don't mean free by signing up for another site. Free out the door no strings attatched. I know those might not exist but I figured I'd ask. Thanx in advance

Strictly free, you are only going to get odds calculators. Personally, I have been a long time user of poker stove. However recently I have started using and am liking more than poker stove is poker razor. Both are available for download from their sites, just type in the names without spaces and add .com As for as stat trackers, I have tried and used both poker tracker and hold'em manager. I prefer hold'em manager because it has a "small stakes" version, which only costs $55 and the only thing it is really missing is MTT and SNG stats, which I prefer cash games, so it is a non issue. As far as that being a lot of money to lay out, if you are following proper bankroll management, and playing $0.50/$1 limit, you are buying in for 50 big bets anyway, so you are losing one buy in for something that will help you gain hundreds of buy ins over the course of its life, again, a non issue.

Cant be positive without checking but i believe those programs ran concurrent with a poker site may e a violation of the pokersites rules and could have grave consequences. You may want to check to see if they are allowed or not

betfair has a free odds calculator, well hand stats chart, that I dont remeber signing up for. I just tried to look for it and couldn't find it. What it was, was a little internet chart, that you type in your hand, and told you that it was a terrable hand and not to pay it really. The better hands, starting from like A-2 suited, said something like, this is the 45/216 best starting hand, might not wanna play it in early position, but has its value from late position, or something liek that. It will help you tighten up your game if you can find it. GL.

Anything that collects stats on players where you were not seated at the time the data was collected is in violation of Full Tilts rules. There has been people that has used even pokertracker that has lost their accounts at Full Tilt because they collected stats while they were seated at the same table at the time those stats were collected.

Read the Full Tilt terms of use before using anything.
