grind in those freerolls...my first roll started on ps a while ago...I forget which freerolls I played.
I also started a roll on FTP as well...they have freerolls running at certain times in the day. I believe it's like 1500 entrants top 27 make it to the money. It's a long truck (Be prepared to play 6 hours) but it's a great feeling when u get that money ahah.
I think I'm a much better poker player after grinding through those freerolls
full tilt poker has a poker acadimy and on it is a vidio by chris fugison and it will help u it tells his 0$ - 10000 $ trek.and talks about bank roll manegment.
I have been at it for about 3 years now. I started my bankroll from zero and I have been playing real money games for the majority of that time. I have been as high as $1400 and as low as $20 at one point. Here's what I think could be helpful:
Play all the freerolls that you can. after all, you are trying to start from $0. This is the only way to do it. I have had most of my success and failures on FTP, you can choose your own site and stick with it.
Once you have made a few dollars, you must determine whether you would like to concentrate on ring, SnG's, or mtt's. for esample, you win $2 on a freeroll at ftp. Now, you have a choice to go into a micro ring game, the 10c re-buy and $1 mtt's, or the 90 cent super sat SnG. You should stick to the game that you are strogest in.
Once you have had some success (you will bust out a few times with the $20 or $5 bankrols before you get going) you should study and follow Chris furgeson's micro bankroll mangement. This is available on tips from the pros as well as a well done video in ftp s poker academy.
Don't be afraid of and don't get frustrated by failure. If you haven't failed then you haven't played poker.
Take note that in Ferguson s attempt to go from $0 to $10,000. it took him 9 months to go from $0 to $100, it took him an additional 9 months to go from $100 to $10K. He took that bankroll all the way to $28,000 before he got into a losing treak and went as low as $7,000 before making it back to $10K and donated it to a charity. I mention this so you can appreciate the wild swings and streaks poker players can bump into. Hense, the abosulte practice of bankroll manegement.
Become a student of the game, learn from each defeat and from each victory. Sometimes you play well and lose, and other times you play like crap and win. You need to realize this and make adjustment and understand that this is a difficult thing to do even for a world class pro..
ALways play sober, fresh, focused, and with purpose. If you can't it's time for a break.
Best of luck to you. Hope this helps. If you need additional pointers just ask. If I know the answer I will share it, if not I will point you to the right direction.
Freerolls, like everyone above mentioned, is the best route for your task. I decided to play the Razz and PLO freerolls to get myself started and after getting around $8, I went for the $1.25 SNGs and got up to $21. This all took around 4 months or so. I've had my ups and downs since then but that's the way things go.
Just be patient, try to read your opponents, and figure out your own strategy and you will have a decent br in no time. Gl and take care.

I highly recommend playing freerolls (and nothing but freerolls) of all sorts until you have at least 10 buy-ins at the level you want to play.
Even a player of the stature of Chris Ferguson spent 8 months playign freerolls, investing, and going bust before he stablized his bankroll at $10.
Don't make the mistake of over playign your bankroll.
Starting with zero means freerolls. Read some blogs also, lots of contest to build a bank right here at Railbirds. X
check my blog and you'll get $50 free starting BR. all you need to do is
