How many points would I earn ?

Nov 20, 2008 11:31 pm Report Abuse

Last night I came 19th in the FT freeroll.

There were approx 990 runners so I should have built up a nice amount of points. Anyone able to tell me how many ?

Because if my maths are right it may be enough to put me in the top 100 this month..

Anyone able to give me any idea how many points I will earn.

If you go to my personal page gere on RB, you'll find a calculator to see exactly how many points you get.

You can even copy and paste the link to ypur own personal page.

Points are rewarded to the top 15%. The member in 1st place will receive an amount of points equal to the total amount of participants. 2nd place will receive 97% of the total points that 1st place got, 3rd will receive 97% of the 2nd place total, and so on. The actual formula is as follows:

Total points = N * 0.97 ^ (X - 1) or 0.97 to the power of (X - 1) where,

N = total number of participants
X = your placing

For example, if you were to place 55th in a tournament with 737 players, you would receive 737 times (0.97 to the power of 54) = 142.28

572 points for the tournament.

Here's a ranking calculator that makes it easy to figure out.
