    PW thieves and the future of railbirds.com

    Greetings all,

    'Tis the season to be jolly - especially on Railbirds.com!

    It appears the we are seeing daily blogs lately about the problem with pw thieves and railbirds freerolls. I want everyone to know that the admin team has been listening and they believe they have discovered a way to elliminate the problem PERMANENTLY! (and the crowd goes wild!) I can't release details yet... but I did peak under the tree and I saw a big box with the label "To:Railbirds's Members - do not open until Christmas."

    2009 is destined to be known as the Year of the Railbirds so stay tuned! Over the next few weeks leading up to Christmas, we will be learning about lots of new and exciting changes coming to railbirds.com...

    Thanks for the encouragement Quasi. I know for a fact that admin is as frustrated as everybody else and have been working on this problem.

    Heck, we have just another month until these new procedures will go into place and there is no need to add something that could affect the rankings this late in the game.

    wow...we have to wate till christmas of 09 for the gift sure hope it works out for all. railbirdswas and still is a great site, but the dumbass ppl handing out the passwords put a damper on all of us. good luck in what you have in mind.

    It seems to me that issuing tourney passwords only one hour before events start has helped, as has tightening the standards of site participation for receiving them. My only measure of this success is the number of non-'birds winning group tournaments, and that number clearly has diminished.

    The solution also takes this into account... if you are not a railbird member, you won't be able to play in the freerolls.

    oh, a big thanks goes out to all the admin staff for the hard work and long hours put in about this and the site in general. I have been here for almost two years. This place looks nothing like it did two years ago and I for one think the changes are great.

    I'll go ahead now and thank railbirds for providing me with my own private jet, fuel, and traveling expenses to travel the world from tournament to tournament representing railbirds.
