I'm starting up again...

Nov 20, 2008 12:27 pm Report Abuse

Hi peeps,

After a 6 month break I'm getting into the game again. Lemme start off with the reason of my break. I'm a Live Cash player in both Hold'em and Omaha Hi. A very important aspect of being a succesfull cash player is strict bankroll managment and disipline in you're buy-in habbits. Before I went for the money I build a bankroll of 7000 euro's by visiting small tournaments and playing the cash tables afterworth. About a year into playing these cashtables I wasn't welcome anymore because the players noticed I didn't come for the tournaments but for the cash players who were still tilting from the tournament.

After that I chose to go to the Casino and started playing the 5/5 euro cash Hold'em tabels. About 2 months as a regular player on these tables I decided too empty my bankroll which has risen to0 a good 12K euro's and buy a new roof for my house.

Now that the renovation is almost done and I'm only left with painting the stairwell and doors I guess I couldn't resist the feeling to start up again. I invested 500 euro's for my bankroll and I'm starting up again with playing the cashgames at local tournaments.

I'll try and keep you updated on the progress I'm making. Day before yesterday I took me 3 hours to double my 50 euro buy-in at a friendly cashgame at the local pub. I wasn't getting any cards so I had to pick my position to steal the chips here and there.

dearest regards,

~rob~
