Thats horrible I would try to find a new pokerroom. If not try headphones for music and ignore the idiots.

I am not a woman, so take it as yo may. I would tell the dealer, that that kind of talk is rude and uncalled for for anyone to have to hear. If the dealer refuses to take action, whether a time out for the players, or some sort of penalty, then call the floor. I would imagine that casinos would have policies in place dealing with harrassment, or discrimination of anysort. This is 2008. I could see this being acceptable behavior in the 1940s, but today it is out of line.

Not sure where you play, but I have never seen this happen. I play live 2-3 days a week.

Whenever some mouthy a-hole finally gets under my skin I shift gears and go gushy on them. "Oh WOW, you are my hero (fill in the blank)! I wanna be just like you when I grow up! How can I learn to play poker like you do?" and then quietly wait for the hand to DESTROY them... Often I'll get other players laughing and siding with me (to the chagrin of the a-hole). Admittedly, I am not female, and the Marine Corps emblem on my avatar suggests that I am difficult to intimidate, but I has taken significant crap from foreigners who have some problem with the US.
Ultimately, mute the idiots, play your best game and take all their money. Success speaks for itself and requires no further explanation.

I can be a bit of a wise azz from time to time. I might say don't worry boys I'm not here to take your chips, Im here as a PI to watch a guy just ignore me . Bet that might make some move even . lmbo

That is just wrong some guys just never grow up. I would find a new place to play even thow you should not have to the dealer should take care of this i would belive. That kind of behavour just make's me sick hang in there we are not all like that.

I play live a couple of days a week and at a wide variety of card rooms/casinos. I have only come across a few men with that attitude. Most of them think they can take your money because they are superior. I would probably have some smart ass comment to them and then sit down and be super aggressive. You can always talk to a pit supervisor on the side. Any other casinos in the area? Good Luck- Where is this- maybe i wanna come play too!! Nothing like a bunch of women to piss them off!

As a player, you cant let your emotions get the best of you, or at least show them(unless you are a great actor). That being said the dealers job is to control the table. That kind of talk is agianst ettiquette. I if the dealer does nothing, you would simply have to ask. "can you do something about this?', and if the dealer does nothing call for the pit. You obviously cant paint a bigger target on yourself. Let the pit embarase them in front of eachother.

Its a matter of pride with men. Some cant stand being beaten by a woman. Just think about what they are really saying. "hi i am insecure, i need to make you feel bad in order to try ang get any edge in this game i can, because i am such a bad player." ignore him and only showdown the nuts for them everytime, then your bets may get some respect.

HONESTLY IF THEY KEPT HITTING RUNNER RUNNER, SOUNDS LIKE ONE OF THEM IS A MECHANIC AND THEY HAD AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE

Dang that sucks bad. thats just horrible to hear. im a guy and dont have any problem playing women.
