PW THIEVES STILL A BOTHER NEW APPROACH

Nov 19, 2008 10:50 pm Report Abuse

It is clear that the pw is still being handed out and is being recieved by what i like to call unworthys. I read a blog a min. ago with some saying they have been here less than a week and they already are recieving PWs. I say lets get rid of the Freerolls. Lets make them a min buyin. I know Fulltilt has tournys for 10 cents or 25 cents and im sure pokerstars is the same way. SO i say why cant we make all tournys buyins? Make the freeroll 25 cent buyins. That would hault all pw thieves I am guessing. because we all know they are freerollers.

The money for the freerolls is going to non Railbirds and it should be stopped bottom line. We need the freerolls to be min. buyins or 25 cents

yeah, maybe it could be a very small buy-in, but have $200 or $100 added just like in a freeroll we'd usually have
HappyLookOutAHH Nov 19, 2008 10:56 pm
that would be great, but some railbirds who are active and worthy of freerolls may not have any money to buy into the freerolls, and wouldnt be able to play at all

How hard is it to deposit 20 dollars from a credit card and use it for Railbirds. I am just not a big fan of freerolls. To much bogus play
ButtonDog Nov 19, 2008 11:02 pm
Guess what? Our current real money ranking passwords get posted to and they have non members in them. A ten cent buy in isn't going to keep people out of them.

The idea of a points only freeroll with the qualifiers getting automatically entered into a freeroll each week is the best proposal I have seen yet, in my opinion.
tennkid777 Nov 19, 2008 11:05 pm
I believe that with a small buyin it will stop most of the people that A. steal pws B. hault the allin play C. make people play smarter because of the money invested. People will play better and learn more when they are trying to better there investement.

I believe regardless if it's a freeroll or a buy-in format, both are in existence right now and both still require passwords. Therefore, you are not going to stop pw thieves. It's a bad assumption that passwords are not going to be stolen cause you put a price on the tournament.

Yes there might be a small amount in the buyins but compared to the freerolls its not even close. u have 400 pw theives in a 1200 person freeroll. Compared to 20 in a 300 buyin.

bigword Nov 19, 2008 11:13 pm
yep, great idea. letsstop the free rolls for you. cause you dont like free rolls, lol. If you dont like them, why do you care who's playing in them. Go buy-in in a different tourny. Railbirds offers one free roll and one buy-in everyday.
PCYPH Nov 19, 2008 11:15 pm
"Yes there might be a small amount in the buyins but compared to the freerolls its not even close. u have 400 pw theives in a 1200 person freeroll. Compared to 20 in a 300 buyin."

Where are these statistics coming from?

Like ButtonDog stated no matter how low the buy-in is the non-members still get into the RB games due to the password. But then if it was changed it wouldn't be a freeroll and many here that are true to the site would not be able to play in RB games. They come here to try and earn a way to start and build cash in their account, that is not what Railbirds is about.

But there is another way that is being worked on behind the scene on getting the ones handing the password out off of Railbirds. Like the recent password an such change/ restriction this site will keep making it harder for the bums to get into the games. There is a group of us that are true RB'ers working together on this and messing with the scums just like they mess with us Railbirds. When the time comes RB'ers will be the ones in the RB games not the non-members.

No i did like the freerolls until every table i played at had someone talking about how they got the pw for the freeroll. from one site or another. And i got my info for a admin. I ask how many people recieved pw for freeroll. and they said roughly 700 but somehow there are always 1200 or so registered
dooman Nov 19, 2008 11:24 pm
then you can't call them "freerolls" now can you
JenLew Nov 19, 2008 11:24 pm

If you make it a min buy in then it wouldnt be called a FREEroll.

Do you see why?

You arent stopping them with a buy in.

csmron Nov 19, 2008 11:28 pm
duh i know I'm kinda slow, duh i know I'm kinda dumb, but because of A bunch of free loaders you would deny all the active members who for some reason have no money in their accounts and hmmmmmm it's no longer A freeroll if there is A buy -in is It?? I say quit worrying so much about the scummy pw thieves and enjoy the tournaments as they are <just my opinion.!

I have gone throught the entire tournament roster of one of our tournaments and cross check the names registered with the membership list of a password thief site and found close to 400 names from that one site in that one freeroll. Their membership list is on the public side and can be viewed by anybody that cares to check.

This took me four hours, but it was information that satisfied my curiosity. You can check that one site and see how many people paid points for and viewed our password. Over 200 views is typical from just that one site.

I personally like the 25 cent buy in for rail games. I do not play less than 200 dollar pot games anymore. Railbirds is a site for all freindly players that want to improve. Going from freeroll to mininum might change our site. makeing all railbirds verify there membership sounds better; at least for our members with no cash accounts.

i am new here and i have been active enough to recieve passwords for the freerolls but because of the times they are played only played in 1 or 2 and being new to poker i havent put money on any site yet so freerolls is the only way for me to strart a bankroll lol. make 1 thing clear just cause i am new to the railbirds doesnt make me a password thief even though i have been asked to give it out by other railbirds u have to earn it the way every one else does and as far as min buyin we will get there some day but the thieves will have that password to . i think this site is pretty cool even if it didnt have freerolls i would still be here .

YOUR 100% wrong No admin would say 700 people got the password there are 65k people on this site yah some arent active some been bannned but 700 only your smoking something

ButtonDog Nov 19, 2008 11:48 pm
The very best solution is for the poker site to cooperate with those that pay for the private tournaments. The sites should ban all crashers from their site and freeze their accounts. If the poker site won't cooperate then find other sites that will. Of course outside of Poker Stars and Full Tilt I don't know of any that allow all countries to play.
MyJam1 Nov 19, 2008 11:56 pm
It seems 1 problem in verifying railbirds; is many railbirds have not given Rail admins there pokerstar and full tilt knicknames.
