Yeah, it sucks to lose that way.
Your check-raise strategy may have kept the villain from mucking. If he puts you on top pair, then he knows he's got 10 outs (four jacks, three queens, and three tens) on both the turn and river, not to mention the runner-runner possibilities. Had you shoved right away, maybe he goes away, but once he's already invested another 12,000 in the pot, the final 33,000 isn't that much more to take a stab at winning the whole shebang when he'll still have a significant chip lead anyway.
You probably wanted him to call, because you indeed had a good chance of doubling up. But the flush and straight draws on the board would have made me wary of seeing the turn, much less the river.
Just a thought for the future, not a criticism of your play. As I said, it sucks to lose that way.

i put him on a hand like he had and only posted cuz i didnt wanna see a jack but instead he hits runner runner for the backdoor str8......and i didnt even notice i thought i scooped the pot till it said tourney is over
