And the answer is. My reads on these two players. was button had nothing. was pushing with any two cards because only 2 maybe one if I didnt call to beat. BB I knew would call no matter what. BB was a very bad player or at least playing very bad this game. I have seen him push someone out of a pot with a player all in and lose when all he had was a draw. he frustrated me to no end. now the other part was in a tournament just before this same thing came up where a guy bet out with a player all in and I felt I should of called due to his play. and I would of knocked the player out but since I folded the all in won. I dont want them getting more chips. blinds are getting high, and Im gonna have to hope the giant stack two to my left folds to my tiny stack. where as the people to my left would all have enough to steal from me. I felt I was in the wrong seat to be even to or that bad off with chips. so next thing that went through my mind, he has hit second pair. he wants me out and dont want me catching something better or he would check it down. so that leaves me with hitting a A or a 6 or a 5 for the straight. I think that puts it at 40% roughly. or get real lucky and hit runner runner flush. they are both in so I can end this long ass sng right now. so I gambled. If I lose I can still push and pick the blinds up one and im right back in it. or I can enter anoher one and win my money back lol

Fold, no need in risking that much with 1 over, a gut shot and back door flush draw
cj28000 Nov 19, 2008 7:59 am
i would fold calling here is a bad move with ace 6 on the flop for half your stack the pot is 905 and he bets 747 so i would fold that very easily he could have ace 7 and you could be drawing to runner 6s or he could have higher pair

i got to know how far off i was
DarkOdin Nov 19, 2008 8:00 am

i would have folded. im sure the runner runner straight flush came out knowing you eddie

fold... these double or nothings, its better to not even get involved in speculative hands like this.. IMO... i probably wouldnt of even played the a6 except that you were sb, and already about half way in there for the initial raise preflop..

Well I like these especially the omaha ones when I can find one that gets filled up and the thing that amazes me is a lot of people don't get the strategy of them ,

the big stacks should be the ones in there every hand shoving the small stacks around and trying to bust them out

it's eliminate 5 people and you win , certain players seem stuck on having the most chips so they don't use their stack to get other players out which is the point of these games ,

in this case with your stack I would have probably folded preflop and let the 2 smaller stacks argue it out , gl

Actually call because ur majorly Shortstacked and they call an all in they probably have overs it is double or nothing

LAURRIEBUGGER Nov 19, 2008 8:14 am

FOLD UNLESS IT WAS PLAY CHIPS. WHAT DID U DO?

ACardExpert Nov 19, 2008 8:31 am
i see by the bind that the torny has been going on for about 20 min so i play a lot of these and if u call u knock someone out and the table trying to lose ppl by now and it is a small call to make so call i know that what u did
redpat19 Nov 19, 2008 8:35 am

I would just fold and keep 1272 to keep playing... but if you do call and win the game would be over... but it looks like you need the 5 for that to happen.

vvolf69 Nov 19, 2008 2:00 pm
i wouldn´t have even called the 155 preflop...
DtownGirl Nov 19, 2008 2:09 pm
I agree with vvolf69. Easy preflop fold unless you were the BB.
Paladin Nov 19, 2008 2:14 pm
fold. Double or nothings there is no reason to get involved in a hand like this. This will leave you as the short stack, but you still have enough left to pick a better spot than this, especially if one guy gets knocked out here and there are only six left you need to be really patient now.
AngryDragon Nov 19, 2008 2:18 pm

a) I would have folded pre-flop

b) Indo should be checking it down

c) Fold

Down_Under_Diva Nov 19, 2008 2:19 pm

You are a Big Stack...so I know you called, yelled at the top of your lungs "Come Get Some baby" and won with a str8. Didn't you?

Spozzy Dog Nov 19, 2008 3:34 pm
Its a double or nothing, sit tight & fold, too many ppl left for a gutshot draw
minneslim Nov 19, 2008 4:24 pm
I'd have had to call the preflop...after? I'm gone..not getting the odds I want..sorry :-)
scojo Nov 19, 2008 4:26 pm
fold i play tight anyway in money tournys
spamlord Nov 19, 2008 5:11 pm
woulda folded, like every1 above. but then we'd have all been wrong wouldn't we ?
gorden71 Nov 19, 2008 5:40 pm
Its a double or nothing and you had them both covered. Id have called too. Sometimes you just have to gamble.
88-88 Nov 21, 2008 4:44 am
