gross.........unlucky......better luck if you are in the other one

that sucks but you did overplay the hand preflop. you went all in trying to win the blinds when it would have been a lot smarter to just make a standard raise and try to get the blinds. then if the ace comes off you can release the kk. that is just me. especially because you were so deep into the tourney already. blinds at 1200 and 2400 you shouldnt put 60k in preflop trying to get the blinds. anyway, i hope you learn from the mistake, youhave to leave yourself with outs or ways to get away from the hand. gl andp lay on.

Good play. Most players don't fold AK preflop, especially suited, so you can't be surprised by the call. Just unlucky.

better luck next time.

I think Lou didn't see it was raised ahead of you to 9,600.
jcup235 Nov 19, 2008 2:21 am
and then you raised to 59,369.

IMO u over bet it I would call and see a flop, u have plenty of chip to play no need to risk it with only one pairs.

The other guy was the one overplaying ace high.

That happens to me 9 times out of ten.

Your next assignment is to sit down and watch the Star Wars episodes until you learn to trust The Force. Trusting The Force is everything in poker.

Not sure why people want you to call to see the flop? Thats for a sixth of your stack and you're sure you're ahead. You can't be calling off big chunks of chips to release the hand on the flop if it contains an ace assuming your opponent will have one. The point of the game is to force your opponents to make mistakes, and you did just that. I still think it was a good play on your part.

yea. I thought he had a pp tens or higher or ak. With the raise and blinds plus antes there was About 14k in the pot. I wanted to get him in the pot before the flop either scares him or misses him and I didn't want to fold if he' c-bet the flop when an ace hit. I liked my all in shove.
