He bet 1000 on the flop. The flop did nothing to help your A A. In fact the odd's of A A winning after the flop went way down.

These beats happen. What we need to do is learn from them and ask ourselves what we could have done different.

Don't let it get you down. It happens in poker and a hand isn't over until it is over.

There are no "Bad Beats"...there are only BEATS. No player is "entitled to a hand" just because they're ahead of another player. As Dolly said, "This ain't solitaire". Anyone who sits down with me can play their cards any way they want. They paid the same money, and thats that. Consistently, solid play will win out over sloppy play, and I strongly encourage sloppy play from my table mates. Its good for business.

VERY WELL SAID RANSOM
It is nice to know Im not the only one who knows we get to play all 7 cards and you havent won it till you win it.

Totally agree Ranson and Iron! I feel for ya that your aces got crushed backloop, but lets have more info. Where you playing aggressive the whole game, always raising.. what were the stack sizes. was the other guy stacked.... these are all things to consider...

pookey I GOT 9000 AND HIM 20000 but the principal is that how he could he had followed with these cards with a 4 TIMES RERAISE and allin post flop
Pookey Nov 19, 2008 3:16 am
so you are saying that you were short stacked against him... allin post flop.. you are questioning that move.. he had two pair. it was obvious at that point that you were playing a strong pocket pair. his call preflop is not quite clear, but in what i am hearing i am guessing that he has been playing loose, or you have been... either way, 4x BB is not that much late in a game (600 from a 20k stack, isn't something he was worried about). IMO
