Back from Hospital - Update 3

hiya everyone,

As some of you know i was not very well on saturday night during the PIF tourny due to a lump on my leg that was causing a lot of pain

Well on sunday i went to the doctors and they could not do anything so they transferred me into hospital to find out what was wrong and the lump on my leg was an abcess.

i was booked in to have surgery on sunday night but unfortunatly there were many people who came before me and i wasnt seen until monday morning. The surgery went well and the abcess has been fully removed.

I am now back home and a little sore but everything will be fine, the district nurse will be coming every day to change my dressings and see how i am progressing.

I will be around most of the time now hubby has let me use his laptop on the sofa and in bed til i can sitt in the computer chair lol.

19/11/08 3.30pm - District nurses have just been to change the dressing, the hole thats left behind from the surgery is 2cm deep and 3cm wide they say that it should heal up well in about a week and the hole will gradually close.

20/11/08 - 1.50pm - Nurses came this morning to change the dressing on my leg, not as sore today but im feeling sick and very very tired, gonna have a nap for a couple of hours i think. The nurses have said that its healing well and it may be the anti-biotics that are making me feel ill.

21/11/08 4.20pm - Dressing has been changed and nurses are happy with my progress, i should be allowed to go out on monday all being well but i still gotta take it easy, not an easy task with 2 kids around lol.
