Getting Ranked

Nov 18, 2008 5:08 pm Report Abuse

Well I am kind of new to Railbirds (5 days in). I have seen rankings mentioned a lot. I am curious as to how to get ranked. I have tried to read the information but, still not sure. Everything on the site seem very user friendly so I can't imagine that this is any different. I could just be slow. It has happened before or atleast that is what my wife tells me.

Every month the top players in Railbirds freerolls, and RMR tournaments get to play in exclusive freerolls with a nice prize pool, and a short field, as a reward for being the top players for the previous month. At the end of the year the top ranked players get a chance for some big prizes as well ! The way you get ranking points is to play in these tournaments, and reach the top 15% of the entrys.

The FAQ Section has some answers about ranking, and the front page here has a link to all the prizes, games and where everyone stands in the rankings.

....play on ...Tc....

When you reach the top 50 for the month in free rolls, when do you get to play the special tourney? Is it during the following month, or at the end of the year? I was 36th last month and havent heard a word about any special tourney....

Nothing much I can tell your guys, I'm also new but ranking only show you if you are good or not what I think. xD

To ensure that your ranking points are properly credited to you, register your PS and FT screen names on the Railbirds site. If you do that, all of your Top 15% finishes will be scored in the RB rankings. It doesn't happen overnight, but usually the rankings get updated weekly or so.

Lady sxy, don't do what I did. I kept looking at the ranking for the year (not each month) and expected to be invited to the monthly one. Kept wondering and wondering, finally cried to a pro-rail and felt embarassed when I realized what I was doing. yearly ranking is not monthly ranking! silly me! lol

The monthly top 50 get invites during the following month (usually in the middle or so it seems to me! lol). The yearly one will most likely be in January ( I would presume, dangerous stuff that presuming! lol)

Hope I helped you figure it out .

Good luck on the tables! Railbirds card: Kh

UnknownFlush, the points are for more than just showing how good you are. Take a look at the prizes by making those points.
