When school started back in August my 11yr old daughter Hope got an assigned seat on the an 8yr old lil boy named Corey. She was always talking about him and how cute he was. One night at a Elementary football game my wife took her too she was being her mean misheavous self .So they took out a pen and wrote push and drew a button on the top of her hand on the bottom they wrote I love You. Wasn't long till Corey showed up and thought that was the best thing in the worldand asked if they would do his hand the same way except for writting I Love Hope on his. He showed it to his grandmother and mother, they both knew who my daughter was.
A week or so after, I was out in the yard and this car pulls up with this lil red haired boy and an older woman. They asked where my daughter was seemed Corey had been aggrevating his grandmother wanting to come see her. So they played outside that evening.
Three days ago Corey told my daughter he didnt like her anymore cause she had told on him for sitting in the wrong seat on the bus. Hope was devastated cried all that evening. Broke my heart. About 5 o'clock this evening someone knocked on the door. My wife answered it., It was Corey and his Grandmother come to see if Hope could come play nintendo with him. He said Hope I have 2 controllers and such and such games!!. Hope was happy smiling from ear to ear and beggin can I go mommy can I daddy. We let her, told them to have her back in 2 hrs. I'm tore all to pieces right now so is my wife.
What do I do, I mean I figured I had at least 3 to 4 more yrs before this all started.

Aww Phoenix..that is sooo sweet. When my daughter was in kindergarten (5 years old) we lived in Orchard Park NY, right near the Buffalo Bills stadium. She "fell in love with" a little boy in her class. His name was Drew and that's all I heard about..Drew this, Drew that...etc
I went to a parent/teacher night at the school one evening and Rhiannon said "there's Drew and his dad". I walked over to say Hi and when he turned around I realized it was Kent Hull, the center for the Buffalo Bills.http://www.geocities.com/bflobuzrd_2000/hull.html We exchanged hellos and he said "so THIS is Rhiannon, Drew has good taste"
It was "puppy love" and of course it didn't last. I am sure you won't be marrying her off anytime soon. Let her have fun, and every little girl needs to have her first "love".. Mine was David Turner, he bought me a stuffed monkey for my 9th birthday and I still have it though I haven't seen him in 40+ years.
lol bro,,, my thing2 is just as bad, at 6 she walked right up to biy, in front of me, and said " Hey , I think you're kinda cute!" I just about died,,, laughing and crying at same time! Anywya, she is 9 now, and that was 4 crushes ago.
Little boys better look out for her!!!
