sick of this ****

Nov 17, 2008 11:44 am Report Abuse

im am seriously getting very sick of this typical crap after being in a tourney after 4 hours, about 90% of the time i seem to go all-in in these tourneys with the best of it yet the bigstack ALWAYS sucks out. for example tonight, sitting w/ 20k in chips blinds 800/1600 wait and wait for the hand i finally get it, kk so i bet 6300, this douchebag calls me w/ a3 off, flop comes out J 10 3 rainbow, hes first to act and with about 100k in chips and pushes i call and the ****ing ace comes on the river, i could deal with this if it happend time to time but it happens every single time, i feel i am playing good, but pokerstars seems to ALWAYS favor the big stack no matter what the cards. Im about to the point that i wanna quit playing online and stick to the live poker rooms. anyone else get have this problem on pokerstars??? and about everyone saying "you see way more hands online" my average playing a hand was about 4 hands per hour (give or take) so its not like im playing garbage

it doesn't matter how many hands you play... it's how many you see... and playing approximately 4 hands per hour out of 50-60 hands is too few IMO. Just a suggestion...

have a break. i needed to forget about poker for one month until my normal luck got back to me.. sometimes you just need a break

Fatmatt33 i have excatly the same issue as u in Pokerstar, Fools Tilt, SKypoker, Titan poker and so . on..

It feels like the sites are giving the Huge stacks some advantage for.. So the toruneys can end faster and all the "ko'ed" players will go on in new games, and PAY new rake.. its Juise maschines. Nothing else.

But yea a break is what i do ... i now play cheaper ( 1,25 , 0,10 center) Tourneys,or FR's as will not make mee a poor guy .. while i try to get some DONK revenge. ... and then i have fun play like an idiot.... (like the ones as suck mee out in late stage mtts)

Keep it up.. and have faith . .. it willl change. I how ever still have, and i try to learn off it .. adn i try to "spot" the donk stackkys in the mtt tables. and i try to aviod theyare in my POT when i have a hand. .. Even i know its tuff.... as they type u describe useally are representet in every hand with every fooking two cards as long thier stack are covered. .

of coarse this happens every time. The only time that it doesn't happen, is the ones that you win.
The times that you suck out on a short stack doesn't burn a hole in your head, because they don't knock you out when you miss. You shrug it off and keep going.
If you are play 4 hands an hour, LynchCats is correct. You are playing too tight. That means you are only playing the top 4 to 6 hands. Which will naturally make shortstacked when it gets to the money.
My suggestion would be to take a few days off. Then on return, try loosening your play during the 2nd and 3rd hour a bit. Not saying play complete crap. Play more suited connectors and such.

I logged on today and the first three posts I read were all concerning PokerStars and the seemingly strange disbursement of hands. I can honestly say that I completely agree and have refused to play there any further. In my last game on the site I sat through one complete hour of a tournament and never saw a face card. I was dealt 3-5 0S 7 times.

Now, I'm not much on sour grapes. And I don't exclusively play premium hands. All I know is that my hand distribution always seems to be a little better on FT.

Time for the industry to take a closer look at PS.

I have to agree with you all, I quit playing at PS. And here is what I'm seeing at FT... I get to a certian amount in bank... and from there on it's down hill. My play doesn't change hardly at all.. Of the amount of members here at RB how many are in the green $$$
