All I can say is that many times I've had people at the one dollar buy in tables say "It's only one dollar, who cares?". That is of course a euphemism for "I'm a total idiot who knows nothing about poker beyond what I saw on ESPN last week!"
There IS hope however. Each level higher you go on the buy in, the play gets slightly more sane. The total clueless idiots are terrified of playing for any real money. If your bankroll supports you moving up, I highly recommend it.

I agree, move up if you can. All the 24+2 tourneys on FT are pretty sane. I can't really afford it but I sattelite into tickets cuz its worth it.

Ive played most limits of sng on FT, and the play does get better as you go up. I would suggest at least the $2 SNGs if you can, same rake with much better play. If you can the $5 are pretty easy too. The $26 are fairly tough though.
