With the ace on the flop and size of betting I would fold them. But thats from my perspective not playing in the game and not having any reads on the people playing. Dons require a different strategy and its about survival and playing tighter than any sng. Which means folding sometimes high pockets when overs hit board.

Al the action was preflop

i would have done the same as you did

if he keeped going all in every hand to me that is one very lose player and didnt care if he won or lost

to me 8 a is a auto fold so dunno what he was thinking

Definitely call. Played it right but online joker poker came to the rescue to another idiot and saved him.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen pkt kings crack pkt aces -- it's a crapshoot ............ pre I would call w/pkt kings ...... but after the flop with an ace out there and possible flush draw - i would have folded them.

the point of tourney/SnG play is to get your money in with the best. KK vs. A/8 your a 2 1/2 to 1 favorite I believe. it could vary, but i dont think i would fold KK in a situation like that.

good call, bad result
pootoss Nov 16, 2008 12:27 pm

shit yeah always try and get all ya chips in the middle pre flop with KK,its a snap call for me ill never be mucking KK pre flop unless you can definitley put the other guy on AA im shipping my chips every single time bro. The only hand beating you is aces you crush every other hand.

cbhound Nov 16, 2008 12:42 pm

no way would i fold these, calling all day every day if its all in preflop,

BigButt Nov 16, 2008 12:54 pm

Well just goes to show you that preflop odds are flawed and should be called Probibilities at best. And you bes coarse of action was the gut feeling you had telling you to fold. See the blind structure wasn't going to kill ou here and this person was about out of bullets in there heater. You cards can run streaky at times and you somethimes need to give them the credit.

But I do hope you dated and noted this person for future refrence to play any ace.

up untill latly i just didn't have it in me to fold KK. But i think against the all in every time people, it is even harder to fold, and more likly to get cracked. I am just saying it seems to be the way it works any more. and i would also like to note that I think it SUCKS!
