does anyone else notice this

Ok does anyone else notice if say ur holding a stong pocket pair, lets just say ur holding aces and u raise 3-4 times the big blind and you get a caller, and after the flop and u push and aggressive all in if the caller is holding a flush draw 9-10 times they are gonna call thinking u are tryin to buy the pot

im sure we all have been guilty of being the caller in this situation
nicegirl2 Nov 15, 2008 1:01 am
people call everything online ive noticed
PkrFan80 Nov 15, 2008 1:01 am
sure ive called on a flush draw before but not for all my chips
JKravat Nov 15, 2008 1:02 am
YES and at least 30% of the time you get your AA cracked too by that flush.
PkrFan80 Nov 15, 2008 1:04 am
i was playin 4 tournys last night and got knocked out of 2 of them with me holding pocket aces and getting flushed on the river about 5mins from one another, i thought i was dreaming
JaeDy Nov 15, 2008 1:12 am
The odds of them hitting that flush is about one third anyways. It's not profitable so you win in the long run.
ButtonDog Nov 15, 2008 1:12 am
AA all in on a flop that misses can be a risky bet, but if it's an affordable call that is worth no more than half my chips with a flush, open ended straight, or full house draw I will call.
bjohn13 Nov 15, 2008 1:21 am
If you're laying your opponent 2 to 1 pot odds (or better) with your push, he's making a profitable call.
JaeDy Nov 15, 2008 1:25 am
Pardon my vagueness in my reply. By "not profitable" I meant when it's even money. You will win the pot more often than him.

no not at all,

SiresnMe Nov 15, 2008 1:43 am

i have noticed so much BS in the lower buy in games on both stars & tilt that am not even playing anymore. I goof off in the freerolls, but nothing more. Am in te process of running down my FPP's and then am on break from internet playing and sticking to live cash games. I will also note how amazing i find it , that I rarely loose money in a cash game, but cant EVER win with the better cards online.

I will continue to play some very select private tourneys, but noting more.

Be safe / be well

im thinking the only way to play pocket aces is all in
JaeDy Nov 15, 2008 2:08 am
Pocket aces can be played, but every time someone of our level sees them, they're planning on going all-in with it. At this level, I don't think much can be helped, but there is a fold button.
striker0726 Nov 15, 2008 2:19 am
Gone both ways on that one depends on the circumstance chip count and where Im at in the tournament.
MAScaife Nov 15, 2008 2:26 am
I have been there on both accounts. Got mad when they hit the flush. Got happy when i hit the flush.
PkrFan80 Nov 15, 2008 2:49 am
dont get me wrong i know there are diff styles of play and most people will make a move with a so so and hand and ull call with the best hand going in and lose thats just poker but to put urself all in on a flush draw is just plain stupid
Markie141 Nov 15, 2008 2:54 am

Well some peope love to call on flush draws online ,

I see no reason to do it for my whole stack though lol ,

if I have the person welll covered and it's a small portion of my

chips that's different , but some people don't know the

difference between poker playing and gambling , those are

the folks you see at the tables chasing from behind

and acting like kids when they lose or get lucky lol

gbgen Nov 15, 2008 2:59 am

All in and you might lose to any two cards, flush draw after flop is a 50-50 coin flip so goin in is ok (i wouldn't do it, but many do( then you here me scream when the flush hits on a 3 way pot lol)

Have a Day

JaeDy Nov 15, 2008 3:21 am
Flush draw after flop is roughly a third, not 50-50.
