Which room to put my cash on?

Nov 14, 2008 8:57 pm Report Abuse

I won a nice freeroll and took down $300 in winnings. I'm going to keep $150 and put $150 up on one room. I'm pretty much decided on either Fult Tilt or Pokerstars, but could have my mind changed if a strong case was made. I really shine in MTTs and Pokerstars appears to offer the most in MTTs, so I'm kind of leaning that way, but again I'm open to reason. I will be playing some ring games and SNGs, but my focus will be low buy in tourneys, sats, and guarantees. Although I am not fond of R&As, because of the maniac play during the R&A period, I realize that my bankroll won't afford much more, since I'll be using the 2% - and no more than 5% BRM.

I've heard that Pokerstars is difficult to make a deposit on. Need some input on the easiest way to do it, and please, only answer if you have successfully deposited from the USA.

Eventually, I hope to deposit on several rooms as my bankroll grows.

pokerstars by way of western union. 17$ dollar fee. sucks but thats the most simple way and youll have your money on the sight in a half hour. they have oodles of guarenteed tourney and plenty that arne rebuys starting at 1.10 my favorite is the 2.20 with 2500 guarenteed. Way more players and you can play for as small of an icriment as you like and move up as you feel. good luck with whatever you choose.

I've had money on Fulltilt and PokerStars. I prefer fulltilt. I is just so much nicer with their layout, tournament, and especially sit n go's. Also alot easier to deposit money. FTP is the way to go! Good luck on the tables.

this is crazy! poker stars is the best and for every reason! ftp sucks to deposit and withdraw and it's cartoon platform sucks too! ...nuff said!

Not going to split it up. Easier to properly apply BRM with the full amount. Also, allows me larger buyins with a 2-5% BRM.
Gotta be a way to deposit other than Western Union and taking an 11.333% hit before I hit the tables.
I'll play Full Tilt first if that's the only way.

I would like for it to be in pokerstars but I could never get money deposited. The company recommended all sorts of ways to deposit and either they didn't work or the company that was linked to them no longer offered that service so good luck if you find a way to do it and let me know please if you do. Thanks.

I went to Pokerstars website and looked at their options for depositing from the USA and see no reference to Western Union so I'm not convinced it's even viable. Please, restrict replies to actual experience and not heresy.

ive deposited on pokerstars, i had no problems. I think pokerstars has better mtts. Also, cashing out on pokerstars was very easy, and it didnt take long to get the check. Id go with pokerstars but its up to you, gl

I deposit on PS no problem, I am a US resident living in Georgia and I use the Ecash option which withdraws money directly from my bank account. Before that I used allaccess visa prepaid credit cards which i purchased at a local grocery store... Pokerstars definitely offers more tournaments with a larger range of buyins.

PS is easiest. Have it pulled from my bank account and have had no problems. Cashing out was quick and easy also.
