Yes, it is over. We all know who won the '08 WSOP. I stayed up late listening to the live audio broadcasts. On Tuesday, we got to see the ft and heads up play. However, no one has commented on Peter Eastgate de-throning Phil Helmuth as the "youngest ever" to win the WSOP.
Granted Phil has eleven bracelets,so his skill cannot be denied. His obnoxious attitude is like fingers on a blackboard to me. So, I cannot stop smiling over Peter Eastgate winning. In the preview of players produced by ESPN, Phil even states that his record will stand. He was also in the audience watching the play.
I wonder if he threw a fit when Eastgate won. You know he is way down from the prop bets he made that he would retain the "title." Wish we could find out exact dollars,but in the meantime, I am still smiling.

WOOHOOOO im so glad he dthroned phil hellmuth his play is over rated he isnt the greatest NLH player ne more his play is out of date maybe if he adjusted alil better hed start winning bracelets again
I too have wondered if the "brat' threw a fit..... lmaaaaaaoooo!!! Eastgates win was "priceless' in so many ways.
and i'm so glad to hear someone else refer to his attitude "as fingers on a blackboard" uggggh he is sooooo obnoxious!!!
