Medium-High stack ITM

Nov 13, 2008 4:39 pm Report Abuse

How do you guys play it? I will always make it ITM with usually a medium sized (sometimes huge stack) or med-hi stack. Once I'm ITM though I only play premium hands and usually end up losing with them so I really tighten up and make a lot of folds I probably shouldn't be making. Any advice?

Is this a MTT.? At this point, I am going to guess your blinds have considerly gone up and your paying an ante. That being considered, your chips are dwindling away quicker each time the blinds come around to you. You are going to need to look at situations to steal the blinds and antes, and you will probably need to broaden your starting hand selection.

look for people who are stealing blinds and when they raise to steal you reraise to resteal...you have a tight image so put it to work for you...if you reraise they should respect you...just make sure you have a modestly decent hand when you do this so that if they call you you have a chance of actually catching a hand.

First one, you have guarantee your investment that good news, now you need to play to win, or play to up a bit in prize it up to your bankroll, structure payout, how many people left, average stack.

If you are close to next level of payout tight up, when it pass do your normal game. Try to see opportunity to steal blind tight player unless there have big stack bully then u need to find some of top 1-10 hand and then go all in and hope to double up with him, if table is tooo passive try to steal blind and if oppornent call and play post flop, if you sense his weakness bet 1/2 ,2/3 of pot try to tell them u have made hand. some high skill player may even min raise u back to steal you bet if he see u made of mayne c-bet before. If u had nothing then fold if you have overcard or on nuts draw then call. it depend on image of your opponent too, if he is very tight and bet only with premium hand then u should fold here. try to mix it up.
