PIF Bankroll management.

Nov 13, 2008 6:47 am Report Abuse

Part of this is is Chris Ferguson's plan to build a $10K bankroll ising only freeroll $ as a stake, but I don't think any effective bankroll management plan could not contain some of his ideas, For what its worth, I used this plan to turn $.60 into $30.00.

Briefly to start you would need to go with PS. FTP has no game I could find for less than $1.25. PS has a .02/.04 hold'em that I know you can enter with $.40 and I believe (but never tried) you can enter for $.20. Get in this game and play tight, tight, tight (if you get the $1.25 for FTP, I'd go with a $1.25 SNG in the game of your choice, SNGs may be the only thing you can play at the $1.25 level). Once I got to $3.00 or so I moved up in limit and, in my case, to a different game (stud 8) and slowly built up from there. If you play at a table and things aren't going well, don't be afraid to leave. You should set a winning figure and get out when you reach it. As you win, move up in limit slowly and don't be afraid to quickly move back down.

Summing up, play tight, move up slowly, don't be afraid to move back down and if you're having a bad night, get out and try again later.

I used a lot of Brother Ferguson's method and could see me cruising to that $10K stack. I just forgot one really important thing, I ain't got his poker playing skills! LOL
