running low limit stakes sucks

Nov 13, 2008 3:55 am Report Abuse

I got staked to run a series of .10 360 man sngs on poker stars and it is a grind trying to make money. I am even yet after 13 tourneys, but i want to make some money ahead, so i can get staked for big tourneys. If I do good at this level, i move up the totem pole. any feedback at all. Anyone else on here run stakes for people?

Someone staked you to play 10 cent sit and gos?? By staked, do you mean gave you 10 bucks??

no they gave me $2.50 and i split the difference in profit with them. Tons of pros do that early in their careers to get started. You should look into it if you are serious about playing poker for a living.

Why would you need a $2.50 stake to get started????

From FAQ:

Can I ask for and/or offer staking, loans or trading of funds on Railbirds.com?
No! Doing so will result in you getting warned or worse. The risk of somebody getting scammed is simply too big. If any members start harassing you for money via private messages, blogs or the chat room, please report it to a pro-rail immediately.

those tourneys are tough basically a freeroll u have to be super aggressive and patient and be prepared for some sick bad beats. not to mention u can play for over an hour and only win 20 cents. ive won a couple and there not that satisfying- what a big 8 bucks 4 first after 2 hours or more. so if u wanna learn nothing about poker and keep pulling ur hair out over bingo players - keep playn. i defently dont reccomend it. ill put 1 in the background sometimes just so i dont get board with a real game. GL at the tables!!!
