charity thought

Nov 13, 2008 2:49 am Report Abuse

What is your thought?

u have game for 20 bucks half goes towards charity (good thing)

now what i see

when you see charity events for 10 (half to charity)

there is always more that play by double
hang with me a sec here

so we have a game for 20$ with 100 players that comes to $2000 half goes to charity 1 thousand

have same game for 10 (half towards charity)
you have 400 play for 10 bucks comes to 4000 half to charity 2 thousand

this tells me less buy in more players more to charity.

so more money towards charity.

as always never can tell how many will play in any game but we be something for them to look into yes/no?

sorry for little rant just wondering what everyons thought are agre eor disagree

this is what brought me to this blog

I totally agree with you HH (shocking huh? We actually agree on something!) It would be nice if it was a lower buyin so more people could play but I guess whoever the host is didn't think of that.

It does make a lot of sense HH,,, and something maybe they should look into next time.

GL to those who play tonite!!

I agree with your thoughts, HH...

If you want to raise the most money for a great cause then make it to where the most players possible can join, which would be in the $5-10 range. It's hard to fork out $20 into one tournament regardless of how great the cause is and maintain proper bankroll management.

5+5 is the best...more players....and more money
cudgell Nov 15, 2008 5:06 am

I'd wonder if you might end up losing some players to the doubled buy in
