Well as most of you already know the UIGEA was passed by the Bush administration as one of his last acts. Many politicians, including ones on the incoming administration and of course the PPA are against this. Let's hope this garbage doesn't hold up. This is supposed to be the land of the free.
NEVER STOP FIGHTING FOR YOUR LIBERTIES!!!
Here is the response from the PPA:

While I live in Canada, and this law doesn't directly affect me, not being able to play my fellow railbirds does suck.
But on the ray of hope side, check out KidPokers front page, with a very nice pic of The President Elect with Kid Poker.
I think things will work out ok in the end.

The Party of reason and hope. I am not seeing the reason to take away my ability to play poker online. I can go to anyone of the 4 places in Tampa here and play poker anytime I want. If they truely believe that Government has the duty to protect me from my self. then they are wrong. I play online because I can play games that only cost 1.25 where the minimum cost at a casino or poker room is 60 dollars. I am not seeing where taking away my ability to enjoy the game I love at a much smaller and much lower risk to my money can even make any sense at all. I dont need the Government telling me what I can and can;t do what is best for me and my family. Only I walk in my shoes and only I know whats best for me and my family. if playing a few dollar poker games helps me enjoy my life a little more, then thats my life to enjoy, not the governments life to squash. Some people enjoy reading, some enjoy going to sports events, some like to go hunting. it all costs money, and who is the Government to tell us what we can and can;t enjoy doing and spending our money on? I enjoy playing poker. and its my right to pursue my happiness
it dont take long look up your rep. and send a email.
