annoying password beggers

Nov 13, 2008 12:52 am Report Abuse

I dont like when people beg for passwords no matter if it is a $25 freeroll or a $200 freeroll. On a lot of website all you have to do is be active and do stuff. probally the beggers spend more time searching and begging for the passwords than if you just create an account and just post. please comment on what you think about annoying password beggers.

When they come to the table, I just tell them to contact a prorail, or read their messages. Every person was sent a message about the new system. If they cant read it, its their problem. Sry prorails, but if they are too lazy to read their messages, I am sure they are too lazy to contact you as well. I will NOT give out a password to anyone no matter how much they beg.

like i said before it doesnt hurt to spend a few minutes a day to read post or add to them and thats all you have to do. they make life so much harder than it really is. welll there the stupid ones.

I agree with you 100%..and a lot of forums are trying to fight that . 1 thing that would help, i think , would be to have a mod or some 1 from that particular site or forum be there and scan all participants for membership to that certiant forum...And if their not they need to be automatically booted from game, and if it takes too long to find out, say by the end of game, stop all payment transactions............................................dam beggers. And along with being booted, they should not be allowed to even become a member thereafter.

well the only way i can think of to solve the problem would be to preregister the players. not allowing you to put in a pass. if railbirds did it then all the problems would be solved. if they can do that i would be happier.

I don't know if this would work but if you are not a member and place in the money you don't get it divide it up with the real railbirds that did place. Might stop some if they know they play for three hours or more for nothing. Just a thought.

would be a good idea Whitewolf, however PS and FT will not cooperate, they say..if they play and win they get the money.....pw regulations is our problem not theirs
jojojo123 Nov 13, 2008 10:57 pm
then i guess the only thing they can do like i said before is have everyone pre registered. that is the only thing that i can think of that will work.

I need the password to the WSOP 2009 final table
jojojo123 Nov 15, 2008 8:17 pm
dude wtf i hate password beggers. this blog is about people like you. so why are you asking for passwords
QuasiPro Nov 15, 2008 8:20 pm
I'm pretty sure he's just joking.
Shiznizzled Nov 15, 2008 8:20 pm

lol @ tamer

If ya find that one, dude, lemme know. I'm IN!

While we at it, we can look for jojojo's sense of humor. wtf?

It is even MORE annoying when a begger comes in , asks for a pw, AND SOMEONE GIVES IT TO THEM.
SiresnMe Nov 15, 2008 8:28 pm
Begging for funds or entry is not allowed at any poker site. Call the moderator or copy the screen name, hand number and tourny or table number down and send it to support. They will act on it.
SwannySA Nov 15, 2008 8:29 pm
The only times I have been asked for a password is when I am either registered in the game or the two times I helped run a freeroll and it said "contact SwannySA for the password". WORST mistake ever to make if you are running a freeroll or a tourney is to have your name on the Notice Board. You cant play a game without people hounding you from table to table for a password.
Ronnieriverman Nov 15, 2008 8:35 pm
well if someone comes to a table im at I simply tell them to join cause you need to me a member anyway, and as I said before....
I have NEVER had to ask for a password do you need to ask how to go to the potty too?... sorry I just get sick of reading wheres my password I didnt get my password ,well if you read your mail that infobird sent you would know where you password is
longshot77 Nov 17, 2008 6:20 am
I would like to keep this people away from posting these messages. I am asked all everytime I am at a table for the password to the trny. It's always the same answer. haha
jojojo123 Nov 22, 2008 9:52 pm
It has been a few days since my last post but still the only I would do if they asked for a password would be make one up just to piss them off. I think it would be pretty amusing. Also talking about my humor just after I make a post you don't ask for a password, even if it is a joke I still don't find it funny.
pinkk_taco Nov 22, 2008 10:07 pm
Agreed.
FundelMental Nov 22, 2008 10:16 pm
i recruited a guy i work with here at rb's .seems they try to pick on newbies to the site as well.he has had many come to his games asking for the passwords now ;( i told him to write down there names so we can watch for them and who they are friends with.on the poker site.

As a software architect, I can understand the problem with passwords and that some solutions are not possible without the cooperation and some expenditures by sites such as PS and FTP. However, there is a rather simple software fix that can be implemented by admin.

A simple email blaster could be set up at very little cost to blast out the password to all eligible players 10-15 minutes before the tourney begins. Railbirds can check their email and register -- this would cut down the lag time and the time to share passwords. Just a thought...
