Bad Beat whiners

Nov 13, 2008 12:34 am Report Abuse

Bad beat blogs are getting kind of boring and annoying to read. Well not exactly, when people post a blog occasionally showing off the horrible call and suck-out of an opponent I'm fine with that. The people who say a certain site is rigged is what is annoying. What some people just can't get in their head is that even 90% doesn't win all of the time. It will lose 1 out of 10 hands. Getting in with 70% will lose 3 out of 10 hands which when you think about it is a lot. If you end up all in 4 times in a tournament with 90%, 85%, 80%, and 70% you only have a 42.84% chance of winning all of those and those are some pretty high percentages.

They have happend for years, shall continue to happen for years. Nothing will stop them. No use reading them if you don't want to

So we should only speak of wins? Bad beats happen 10 to 1 over wins, so the abundance would be so regarding blogs.

I believe if I don't want to see a "whiner" blog, I skip it. But this it their poker site as well and should be able to blog their losses freely.

I've seen good advice comments on these bad beat blogs, find it useful sometimes.

I know what you mean. Earlier I had 2 pair aces and 10's and someone went all in and I called. they had AQ. The board paired a King so they won. I thought wow what a bad beat but then I realised not really as they had 10 outs. Everyone has bad beats, they are part of the game. My reccomendation is that if you hate bad beats so much don't put your money all in, chip your way up. I especially don't like the "I hate aces" blogs, let's all start posting the 80% of the time that they win. Or how about the 10% when yo put your money in bad after the flop.

Just my opinion, but we are a poker forum???? we like to vent, support, and bust each oter chops from time to time about poker stuff. Plus, if you pay attention, you can learn from others mistakes and "Bad Beats" But like I said, just my humble opinion.

be safe / be well

Bad beats are part of the game...if someone lets off steam about it so be it. If you don't want to read the blog you can skip it...sometimes one can learn from someone elses mistakes.

I didn't write this blog expecting to get bashed. Did you even read what I wrote?
"Well not exactly, when people post a blog occasionally showing off the horrible call and suck-out of an opponent I'm fine with that. The people who say a certain site is rigged is what is annoying."

Also I never said I don't enjoy reading them. I especially enjoy them when the writer thinks they got a bad beat when they had like 60%. Its funny.
