People in poker who constantly raise.I was just on fulltilt on a freeroll. and it was a super turbo freeroll and the person i was playing against raised pre flop every hand, he also raised after the flop. i hate this kind of agresive player as i always get impatient and try and call their bluff when there not bluffing. For example i had pocket sevens not a great hand but from the persons betting i guessed he had ace high(because he was raising when the next card to come on the flop was a two). and he did have ace nine high but he hit a nine on the river so i lost. does anyone know the best way to play against players like that?

Play pos poker call them down lighter if there a maniac if you dont like the pressure they create stay patient wait for a big hand and trap them.

if it's a super turbo just give it a few minutes and you'll most likely get moved to another table anyway

Dont play super turbos there like playing the bingo makes it a luckfest I didnt see that earlier I must have overlooked it.

No offense but the best offense to a maniac player is good defense. What that means is that your gonna have to play so tight and passive no one even notices you at the table. What you have to do is play nothing but the top 10 hands and proceed with caution.

Obviously thats kinda vague, but unless I had stats or reads on that player its hard to say more............

Well, I always think of 2 ways to play these types of players. The first way would be to wait for a big hand and let them do the betting for you. Also, these players seem to not respect smallish raises. If you believe you have the best hand and want to get the player out of the hand, you need to raise big. Just some general things I noticed without knowing anything specifically about the opponent.

I agree play tight and be patient wait for the opportunity and let them hang themselves... then you can sit back smiling

Build your patience. Wait for the right cards then trap...Extract as much money and maybe double up off of him.

There are different types of aggressive raisers. The ones you need to be careful of getting in a pot with are the ones that cant lay down when they are faced with a strong reraise and they have chit! If they dont have the ability to lay down then you have to play them cautiously. If they are good aggressive raisers/pot buyers or bluffers that can lay down when faced with a reraise then come over the top of them.
