I read many blogs yesterday from people in PPA stating that president bush may take executive order to make it even tougher for us to play online poker. Well, here's an article from Washington post this morning that puts more light on this situation. Apparently a guy from NFL working in the White house is behind the latest push. In a nutshell this is all about NFL protecting their fantacy football business. Here's the link to the article if you wish to read it.

All of that is the fault of Congress. Our Constitution gives the authority of making those laws to Congress. But several years ago Congress passed on to each Department head the authority to empliment rules within their departments without having to go through congress first and the U.S Supreme Court that Congress was within it's rights to pass that authority on the Executive Department heads.

We aren't a Democracy by the way. The U.S is a Representative Republic.

We need to telephone our Representatives again, again, and again, until they get good and sick of hearing from us.

Some may argue with good reason that democracy is a representetive republic. I liked this article because it shed some light on who exactly is behind all this crap. For the better part of the last year, I had believed the brick and mortar casinos to be the real culprits. So, today after reading this article, I now understand how wrong I was, and how serious the challenge really is. You see NFL has pull in better parts of 32 top markets in the United States, but the gambling industry only has pull in 2 or maybe three cities. This is a much tougher fight than I had originally thaught.

They will work a ban on internet poker unless they can igureout a way to extract money from it. No matter how big Governments stack is they alway want more.

Bwahahahahahahahaha Fantasy FootBall=Lotto Ticket

The NFL provides statistics, logos and player information to fantasy leagues that pay substantial royalty fees, industry sources say. It backed the exemption on grounds that fantasy football is a game of skill, not chance.
