Damn the Poker Monster I say. Damn him to hell.
I started out the day like usual. In a good mood, feeling ready to play, and with all my whits about me. Little did I know at the time that I would actually lose the first game! Then I lost the second game. Then I lost the third game.
I decided to regroup. I broke out the coffee and beer. Then I lost the 4th game. Then I lost the 5th game. This was getting serious! F the coffee! Give me the beer! I kept checking my bankroll and it was going down, down, down! "Time to kick it up a notch" says I.
I put my heart and soul into winning the first double or nothing game. I won. I opened two windows. I won. I opened 3 windows, and I won, I won, I lost, I won. This went on for a while and I was steadily increasing my bankroll. Then after 8 beers, all hell broke lose. I lost, I lost, and I lost.
I started out with a small bankroll, and I pissed 1/4 of it away losing easy games. Then I realized that I was going the wrong way! (it didn't take a genius to figure that one out) So I started to apply the information that I have learned from many helpful Railbirds.
I started to make an immediate and natural come back! Until the cards went really cold! I was almost ready to call it a day because my bankroll was almost back to even, when I lost a game that I was way ahead in. Then I lost the next table. I added two more at this point. I lost the last one. Damn! I won the next two, but I was still way behind, so I did the unthinkable, yes I did!
I enrolled in a higher stakes 3/9 winner game. It was a real hoot. So much conversation. So much jockying for position to possibly win third. Of course I knew very little of this so I managed to sail into third and with a little effort, I was heads up. I was only surprised by the fact that I wasn't even behind by much because I knocked out the third place player.
Getting heads up for a few dollars is a big thrill for me. Being ahead on the chip count is a bonus. I wish I could say that it was a ferocious battle between two large stacks to become the victor, but that sadly was not the case. I won the tournament after only three hands. He pushed with
and I had
the flop had a Q as well as a 3 on the board. I wasn't really worried. I just kept chanting "No 6, No 6, No 6" There was no 6, or another 3 and I won! I won almost enough money to cover all my loses for the entire day.
I wouldn't recomend this method of recovering losses, because usually, a person will only go deeper in the hole!
I am so happy that it worked well for me!

Did you shrink from all the steam you were producing?!
No, I got hot and bothered, JaeDy.
Good point, JaeDy,
You are the smart one. Right now I just want to put it in the barn. I don't want a loss. But I sure as hell don't want a big loss. I guess you are saying that I should quit while I am almost even.
You're still playing?!
It's completely your decision, but if you have your bankroll in mind then I'd suggest for its' sake that you quit for tonight.
