Morning Again

Morning everbody

Didn't get snow yesterday, but sure was a chilly day though. Temp never got over 36 degrees. I did get my venison yesterday, going tokeep the tenderloin, the rest of this one. I will take and have all slim jimsmade fromit. AKA beef or venison sticks. Decided to wait until we get another one, and that i'll have made into venison balogna. Which reminds me, there seems to be a misconseption of what venison balogna is. I believe some see it as a big log type of balogna you would buy in the stores for sandwiches. That's not what it is, nor look like. Venison or Croghan balogna has the same shape as a ring of polish kabassa or something like that looks like. Only this comes in different sizes, from small to 1 and 1/2 foot long if stretched out. It has an outer skin and the meat as well as skin is red in color. It is expensive, but I can get it right from where it's made and the only place it's made in the world. For a ring in the stores here that cost around 7 to 8 dollars. I can get it for 5 to 6 dollars. But hey a buck is a buck ya know. Now that's for a ring that's 1 pound. Can get them up to around 4 pounds a ring. So you see it is expensive,but sure is dang good though. I don't get it very often cause to much of a good thing becomes no longer a treat.

Hant a whole lot going on in this part of the world, just trying to stay warm, and doing what can be done because of the temps. need to paint the dog house I built for my daughter. But looke like will be thursday before will be warm enough along with the heater in my shop so I can paint. Then I can start on building either cabinets or the table my mrs wants built. Don't need much for heat doing that kind of work. If you see someone that hant got a smile, give them one of yours. Remember they cost nothing and are priceless. Put a smile on your lips, happy thoughts in your head, and a twinkle in your eye. Ole hillie loves ya all.
