That was the worst WSOP final table i have watched to date! The hands that were played were horrible. The flops were crazy. I was disapointed that i waited this long to see that nonsense. What do you think.

i'd have to disagree, I saw some great laydowns, some good bluffs and i thought there was a lot of talent at that table. I for one enjoyed everyminute of it.
Dicepops Nov 12, 2008 5:10 am

Oh - come on. It's poker.

It was great, just not long enough.

Baseball_Tim Nov 12, 2008 5:11 am
lol... if u listened to it live u would disagree, and i think ESPN did a terrible job editting it... i mean the overall play and thinking at the table was amazing is the best in recent years... i mean the 1-outers, races, 3 outers make good tv, but actually listening to it, it was some amazing poker... i mean there were some questionable plays, but u have to think of the thought process that went into it and it would be so much "nonsense"... its also a shame ESPN only showed 3 hands of the heads-up.. one because there was over 100+ hands and two because it was an amazing HU match.... overall, i think the wait was a success but if ur going to do it please somehow have it where we can see ever hand live (with/without hole cards) .. maybe just have it on ESPN2/ESPN PPV or something, there is enough ESPN channels to do it....

lol the one guy got took out on a bluff all in on the river with ace high... come on and then the set of aces against the case 6 on the river. I guess they gave us some action but it seemed so unreal to me. They didnt even show the guy that started out as shortstack go out after he doubled up. all they said was he was the eighth place finisher. Im sticking to my previous statement that i am disapointed
tubzz111 Nov 12, 2008 5:15 am

yip that is poker for you

KnappTime Nov 12, 2008 5:19 am
i have to agree, most of the all ins were retarded
canadagrind Nov 12, 2008 5:20 am

yeah i listended to most of it and listening was way better i hate how they didnt show first hand of heads up which came down board kkk1010 and demidov bet 8 mill on river to 7 mil pot and eastgate folded with thtat board then jesus fergoson made a comment not only would i have called i might have raised to 22 million. hahahaha lol then demidov said later he had a k jajajaj

great listening live but you have to give esp a break because they did like 30 days work in one day or so. it cant be like oscar or movie style good ya know lol, because its still in teh end JUST POKER.

KevGuy Nov 12, 2008 5:21 am

I thought it was awesome. It was a very talented final table.

curtinsea Nov 12, 2008 5:21 am
Wow, I seriously thought it was a great show. After all, a show is what it was, a condensed version prepared for the masses. Don't be so critical. Some of the nuance may have been lost on the larger audience. I think as a tv spectacle, it was done pretty well.
Lou-dog Nov 12, 2008 5:36 am
there was some good play and some bad play that is tru. but i think it played out mostly like i figured it would. but i was watching already knowing the outcome (like always) haha. anyway i picked demidov to win like 2 weeks ago and when i woke up this morning i went to my computer to check and saw he lost to the wheel.....anyway, gl to you cicero.
seanteeks Nov 12, 2008 5:37 am
I was disappointed how the two went all in with nothing only to get taken out, thought that was kind of stupid. Maybe if I would have seen all the hands leading up to that I would think different. Overall not a bad show.
rrickir Nov 12, 2008 5:39 am
I agree a little also,,,waitin all those months, and the way they broadcast final table was lacking,, i thought,, other years were much more xciting to me,, for many different reasons,,just my opinion tho,,, my fav final table last few years,, is still ,,, one with Joe Hachem winnin it,,,,
doops Nov 12, 2008 5:55 am

I listened to the play-by-play on the radio, or a good part of the first day at the final, and it was great. Not knowing what the cards were...it made it a good deal more like being there. I really enjoyed listening...I have long wondered how it really played out, and this time had the chance to see how thoughtful and careful the players were being. The TV show may have made them look a lot more rash than they were. In fact, they were all patient and smart.

And since when is a bluff not fair in poker???? lol If the cards are not coming, sometimes you just have to do it. The question is the timing, as we all know too well.

ButtonDog Nov 12, 2008 6:02 am
If I remember correctly they were going to show the final table from beginning to end on live television.

It was all hype and this should have been played during the WSOP and not 4 months later. It was a flop from what I have been hearing.
scottdogg Nov 12, 2008 6:33 am
me too
chris87ltj Nov 12, 2008 6:36 am
How can you say it is a hype, in all ways it has rebounded and gotten much better veiwing than last years!
chris87ltj Nov 12, 2008 6:41 am
I meant to say how can you say it flopped, not hyped
Dicepops Nov 12, 2008 7:15 am

How long did the final last on radio?

2 or 3 hours or 6 hours?

canadagrind Nov 12, 2008 10:38 am
the final tbale went about 10ish hours to make it to final 2 then the final 2 heads up took about 4 hours
CICERO Nov 12, 2008 4:38 pm
I just didnt enjoy it as much as i did in the years past. Just expected more from it as most of you did. thanks for the comments
