personally with the queen to start, i dont think you should have been in the hand at all. as soon as it was completed it should have been bye bye time

The lowest of your 5 low cards was a 9.
The lowest of his 5 low cards was a 6.

A2345 is the best (wheel) Razz hand followed by
A2346
A2356
A2456
A3456
A2347
A2357
A2457
A3457 ... etc, etc

Hope this helps a bit

yes it was the 9 aussie, they had a 6 low and yours was 9 low but my question is why would you stay in when they were showing the cards they were, just a little advice, the thing i found with razz is its what you have showing that helps you win the pot, i can have big cards in the hole and if i have good cards showing i can steal the pot...GL on and off the felts aussie

The other guy started and ended with the best hand, you had a 9 high hand for the best of your 5 cards and he had a 6 high hand , razz is a cool game once you get into it more ,GL
CtPokerholic Nov 12, 2008 12:50 am

counting from the bottom up is the wrong way to look at it ..

gotta start from the high card, and go down

CtPokerholic Nov 12, 2008 12:53 am

ppl stay for a long time in razz .. at least I've experienced that

ButtonDog Nov 12, 2008 12:56 am
The $100 Railbird Freeroll at 0200 hrs is going to be RAZZ. It will be at a good time for the Aussies.

See you guys there.

Hi Aussie, of course you lost, because you win with the lowest hand of 5. The lowest of your 5 low cards was a 9.
The lowest of his 5 low cards was a 6.
A2345 is the best hand that always wins, unless someone has the same hand, than the pot is split. My advice to you is, if you are dealt any thing over an 8, than you should fold. If you get A12345 on the 1st 5 cards, then bet you A*s off. Also, you need to pay attention to everyone cards that are up, if any of them are higher than yours...raise them. Hope this helps ya.

LOL ~ I know you know how to play ( 100/200 Ante 15, aussiestorm69 (4,792) )

Looking at 3rd street - make the following assumptions
The guy with the Railbirds card: 7h has 3 cards less than a 10
The guy with the Railbirds card: Ah has one card less than an 8 and one bigger than an 8

then you are only 25% to win the pot (Railbirds card: 7h is 45%, Railbirds card: Ah is 30%)

By the time you get to 5th street, if he started with 3 cards to an 8 low you are still only 30% to win the hand.

At worst dump the hand here.

Hope this helps

So essentially you are starting behind.

The issue here is that you need to catch better than BOTH of these guys on 4th street. Specifically you need to catch a 3,4 or 5 just to catch up !

countrymum.au Nov 12, 2008 1:25 am

coz he/her had a better low hand 6,5,4,3,A bets 9,4,3,2,A as 6 low is better then 9 low

it all goes on whos got the lowest hand in the end not a few cards

yours was better till the last card if u got lower then a 6 or the 5 u would have won
