Monday night Australian time and AA cost me dearly in 2 tournaments. The ironic thing is I was beaten by trip 10 both hands.

Short stacked and really had hoped the AA would get me back into the game. However I was still rocking along in a $3.30 Tourney so didn't feel too bad. Just hated being first out in the POKEROO Open game though.

Now, I realize AA is just another pair, but crikey hoped they were the best pair. I ended up finishing 43/252 in the $3.30 game.

Just unlucky.
You were called by some crazy players. Some people like KT, tough luck.
They are the best hand preflop of course. I got hosed myself today. AA I had against KK, K on the river. Can't blame the KK for calling though.
That first hand strikes me as a case for more measured betting.
Why push all-in pre-flop just because you've got the best pre-flop hand and a few limpers called before you? Sure, you'll get an occasionally luckey donkey like the one who called you with KT and then rivered you out, and even more often the donkey caller won't get lucky and you win a big pot, but against better players you'll probably come away with just the blinds and the limpers' dead money.
I'd rather put out a moderate raise under these circumstances and see who sticks around. The looser the table, the bigger the raise, because you really don't want players seeing the flop with small pocket pairs or suited connectors that can crack you hard if they connect. Then when you put out another big bet after the flop, your opponents will know you mean business and they'd better have monsters to compete with you.
Suppose you're playing the cards dealt above and your pot-sized bet postflop gets called by the same opponent. You've almost certainly got to believe they've hit at least top pair with a good kicker, or maybe they've got AK of clubs. This doesn't mean you stop betting, but it does mean that if another ten or another club shows up on the turn, you need to be willing to let go. When neither a ten nor a club appears on the turn, most smart players will fold to another decent-sized bet knowing that their odds of connecting on the river are poor. If a ten or club does appear, you should still value bet your aces just in case it's the "other" card the opponent wants, but if you get raised then, or even just called, you've got to accept that you may be beaten.
By playing it the way I suggest, you certainly won't win as much as you would if you went all-in, got called, and prevailed. But you won't necessarily end up on the rail when you get cracked, either.
Of course, you always run the risk of running into an opponent who thinks top pair-second kicker is good enough to shove with, as might happen if you follow this advice against a holding like KT in this scenario. With a board like the one showing, there's no way you're going to let aces go - not unless you decide your opponent started with pocket 8s or 10s. So you end up in the same place if that third ten (or a king) hits on the turn or river. But at least you know you played the hand in measured manner, rather than just throwing all your chips in the middle to start and praying your opponent's well would stay dry.
U can either win big or lose big with that hand, i hate going all in pre with it, but sometimes u gotta
Swanny when you called all in i thought my cards were good enough to call & then when i saw your pocket A's, i thought ive gone but couldnt beleive it when the third ten came out on the river to give me trip 10's.
Then you came back into the pokeroos game & told us the same thing happened to you with pocket A's again but in the $3.30 game i thought oh no not twice in the one night.
I am very sorry it had to happen to you that way. Hope you aren't to mad with me.
LOL Marie - on Monday night I was spitting chips when I was SS and went all in with AA.
But you know something? locochaser made a very good point in his comment on this blog.
