Poker Blues

Nov 11, 2008 6:52 pm Report Abuse

It was a good run. For the last 2 months I have been on a tear. Winning 5 and making the money in all my games. But for the last few weeks I have been in a big slump. Going from a healthy bankroll, to a few dollars left. Having to start over, makes a guy want to leave the world of online poker and only play in live games. Being called all the time by bad hands and losing makes one wonder how online games really work. Is it fixed or is it in my head. Maybe someday my view will change but for now, I feel that I have no chance of making big money online. I guess this is just a rant from an unlucky player at the moment, but it feels good to get it out.

There are many here who can relate to your story paulshelly. However, there are so many blogs of those who say, 'breath deep this too shall pass'. Keep playing your game, or go and take the time to read, study and change up your game. It truly is cyclical. Good luck, let us know when things turn around...this is definitely where you can come for some support.

I have had some major ups and downs too.....that is the game....I try not to dwell on it, as hard as that is, and just move on to the next game.....one sure thing about luck is it will change. KOO LOO KOO KOOO
