Playing extreamly tight notice how many hands i played till the win. Ty Top Cat! And a by product of this is learning to be patient in you other games as well. Since i have been playing these doublers i have seen more final tables and cashes in the private tourneys . I just need to extend more for the larger mtt's

SilentBobAK47 Nov 11, 2008 8:58 am
Sounds like a double or nothing. Patience is indeed the key in those.

This is a double or nothing game on PS in the sit n go section 1 table 10 player game where topfive double their entry less the rake. Go check out Top Cat1954's blog. It is an exellent way to build your bankroll, but stick to the strategy h e outlines

Is it just me? I am 45% in the money in MTT's but these double or nothing keep handing me my butt. More often than not, I am number 6. I play very tight, end up being the bubble boy, and losing on good hands. I am usually ahead preflop but get out drawn. Bigger the buyin, the more it happens. These are not good games for my style of play. And I really can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

Hmmm Gderhund ...Have you read TC's blog? There are a few more you should check out i hope they will help you find where you are making mistakes. Check out the url to TC's blog in the above comment box, and this follow up blog....ADDENDUM : TC published a second blog titled "More Money" on this subject, and it should be read as well to get full benifit. ..... Also, there has been an excellent blog published by PookieGirl2 that takes this strategy to an even higher level, and I recommend everyone read it, here is the link : www.railbirds.com/blog/205503/the-icm-topcat-and-those-double-or-nothing-sngs.html
