Mathematical Poker

I've reached a point in my game (Also known as a dead-end) where I have no money on either Pokerstar or Fulltilt. Plus, in live games I am simply no longer confident. I believe the time has come to really, really re-think the way I play, slow it down and begin learning the maths.
I'm a statistics student, and in the Summer I promised myself I would learn the statistics associated with Poker and start using them to my advantage. Unfortunately... I'm also lazy and just have not.
May I ask the fellow Railbirds on their opinions when it comes to learning the maths? Any links that describe them well, and at what point do they feel it can truly help? I would very much appreciate it; I need to get back on track.
Thank you in advance.

Here's a link to an old Blog of mine. Just two words:
Bankroll Management
it is about insticts, position etc, but not ALL about that, as some as suggested, a player who uses his instinct, positional sense etc AND the maths has a much bigger advantage over players using jus instict etc. maths and good pokerplay in general are a marriage made in heaven!!
And, yup, I'm crazy
Thanks to everybody for their comments, btw, they've really lifted my spirits!
