Hi,
First off I think you guys have a great site and some very cool people on staff. I've experienced and witnessed some things on Fulltilt that really have blown me away (for the good.... and to do with employees and Fulltilt in general).
Okay.... here's what I'm building up to.... The 'late reg.' for tourneys.... umm... I'm really not too fond of it. To be quite frank, I don't like it. Not sure if you really care but just thought I'd toss you that input for a micro player who's dreaming of hitting the mid-range mtt stakes here shortly. At first it actually suited me well... after all... I'm a poker playing addict and am known for being late for appointments (not 100% sure why that is, (the the 'always being late' part)... or maybe I am but I'm still in denial about it (denial = 'don't even no I am lying; --- I 'know'.. know is spelled 'know'.. not 'no'... but 'no' doesn't fit the whatever you ma-call-it-thingy),... maybe my 'being late' is a sense of control over others... selfishly not valuing their time as much as my own,... who knows.. pretty sure I don't care (could be denial again though... why else would I write it (think it),.. if I'm thinking it... then it probably 'just is'
.
Oh yah.. so getting back to late registration for mtts. Maybe it could be adjusted at some point so as to not include so many tourneys under it's parameters It's nice to have an idea about playing field size prior to entering a tourney (ie.... does it have 300 in it... or is it 750!!!... even a bigger deal when assessing whether or not I want to register is for some of the satellites... ie. is it 7 of 26 getitng paid or do two more late regi's make it 3 of 28??.... I'd opt to play the 7 of 26 but the 3 of 28... not really into it).
Just a thought... or two.. or.... well whatever. Hope your day is going well for you. Mine has just begun. I awoke from a 'poker nightmare' of sorts (another one but this one was bad!). I was on a college field trip to a casino in the States and we were assured we'd have time to play in at least two 18plyr. sng-style tourneys while there. For what seemed like hrs. I could not for the life of me even find one game to play.. and.. I got lost a few times, almost got in a fight (or should I say beat up for talking too much), and then just about missed the ride back home. Not being able to play poker when i was all psyched up for it... a huge nightmare for sure.
Solution... I got up out of bed, turned my computer on.. and now I'm going to play a game!!! I looked one up,.. hmm.. around 200 in it. I could play it then go back to bed, then get back up again and start all over. Then I remember "LATE REGISTRATION".... groan...sigh... sniff... sniff. Maybe I"ll play a super turbo STT.
Thanks for your time. Hope your day is going well. Thanks again for the terrific site you have here

I think late reg is good, but, like you, it sometimes matters to me how big the field is. If the players-to-money ratio is better than normal, I'm thrilled. But when you get into a tourney and suddenly there are a ton more people than there were when the tourney started, it is disconcerting.
These days, I assume there will be a lot of people signing up late.
I did play a super-sat yesterday. Only 8 people had signed up, and there was no late reg for some reason. So we sat right down at the final table! That was a surprise.
sometimes you can kind of tell, that 150 more people are going to enter after it starts. but i agree you would solve a lot of peoples pet peave if you just said no late registrations
