structure payout for freerolls

Nov 7, 2008 12:28 am Report Abuse

the payout structure for the freerolls are horrible. they should not pay out to 81 because its just dumb. u have to get top 9 just to get a dollar. i just took 14th waisted 3 hours and won 70 cents.

There are many people who play freerolls to help build their bankroll... paying out a larger percentage allows more people the opportunity to start a bankroll or add to theirs regardless of the amount.

I'm thankful for the thousands of dollars that Railbirds puts out each month for our Freerolls.

Spread the wealth around... greed will get you nowhere.

No one is forcing you to play.
poope Nov 7, 2008 12:40 am
no ones forcin u to play. retard. i kno its just dumb how they pay out cents it should be like top 27 so its atleast a dollar
JKravat Nov 7, 2008 12:40 am
Payout is according to number of entrants to tournament. It is approximately a 10% payout structure where the top 10% are ITM and top 15% are in the points. The money is divided accordingly. Most freerolls and even buy-in tournaments follow this same structure unless it is stated a 20% payout structure, which PStars has in some.

ditto what Astrogini said.

If you don't act like a total donk, you can built that 70cents into a sizable bankroll......The odds are though, that you've already blown it.

I agree with Astrogini. I'm just thankful they provide these.

I agree with you. I would like to see the freerolls pay out for a few less places. I'm sure it would speed up the action a little. It also would be nice to see the top 27 get at least $ 1.00.

JKravat Nov 7, 2008 12:47 am
Oh another thing great job on finishing in 14th and the points you earned towards the monthly rankings.
cozman Nov 7, 2008 12:53 am
hey Poope hears an IDEA DONT PLAY otherwise you put up the prizepoll and hell make it top 3 get paided. Well were all waiting to see when you hold your freeroll. If RBs horrible why are you here?

You have logged on a total of 31 times in 11 months and posted two negative blogs. Why don,t you stop whinning and start absorbing the good things about this site instead of bashing it.

I went out twelveth but I don't think it's a wasted three hours. Got to sit, play and suck out on some really good players. I think the ten percent payout formula is fair. Top ten percent should get something but make it top heavy like it is. After all knew what the payout was before you started.

wow, what a jerk.......I really liked the PM you sent me calling me a retard....I hope you like the one I sent you stating that you would NEVER participate in any tourney I host or be eligible for any of my nightly games.....

Well i have played many of these freerolls and it did start my bankroll....then i worked that with buy-ins and now my bank looks pretty good. Not to mention the patience and experience you get from playing against a large field. Thank you Railbirds....i appreciate it.
ButtonDog Nov 7, 2008 5:36 am
I don't think so because people are here to learn and start a banroll at the same time. The first time cashing is always a thrill for beginners and the structure helps encourage them.

Myself, I'm more interested in the points and would be just as happy if the money was saved for the top 50 ranking tournament.
leavem Nov 7, 2008 5:51 am
It is the poker sites that determine the payout structure for the freerolls. While it would be nice to get a higher payout for say 18th spot, it is real nice to hit 100th and still get a bit, that you can use to build. The worst part of the fulltilt freerolls is having to get to top 27th to see any payout.

Lmao !!! I don't like it either, but under stand why it is the way it is Hmmmm!!
CRAINT_DEGUN Nov 7, 2008 6:32 am

then don't play in them. The problem is that people play to build their bank... which means that they're happy with their $.25 for cashing. It's annoying, yes, but hey... at least you don't have to play 4 hours to get nothing in the other ones.
