New Rules Stink

Nov 6, 2008 9:35 pm Report Abuse

I've been a member of railbirds for over a year now. I enjoy the daily quiz, and an occasional freeroll. I do not write blogs or join in the forums and resent that these are now requirements to join in the freerolls. I thought this was a poker site, not a chat site. If I wanted to write blogs or "chat with me peeps" I'd join MySpace. Guess I'll be looking for site that cares more about poker and playing poker that arbitrary rules.

no this is not a poker site...this is a poker community, there is a difference. Pokerstars is a pokersite, they provide you with all you need to start playing poker. railbirds is a site where pokerfans come together to share their knowledge, making friends and so on. i am also not a great blogwriter and do not spend full days here but i get the password. just keep on playing the quiz, react on blogs, post some funny video's or pictures. it's not hard to be active enough. gl on the site and on the felts

This is a community based site where we value every member and our primary goal is to please as many people as possible. We are aware that not every member will be pleased with each decision we make on site. We want everything to go good for everyone, but, in the end it is up to each of you what you make of it.

....Topcat.....

The requirements haven't changed, just the amount changed.
Blogs aren't the only means of being and staying active....there is the chat room, commenting blogs, uploading images, answering daily quiz, editing profile, ect...

This site cares about poker as well as its active members.

The whole point of this site is to try and not only improve your own game but the games of others and to say you don't join the forms or write blogs just tells me that you are using this site like any other pw thief does. There is a reason why this is a community and not a charity. I for one am glad to see those like your self go. Please mooch off someone else, by all means.

its a forum to talk about poker bud so if ur not happy with the new rules no one is keeping u here bud! not saying i want u to leave just be more active write blogs about ur life poker games and nething else

I agree 110%. I'll admit I didn't jazz up my profile, comment on blogs or even post for that matter, but the fact I have played mostly the buyins should outweigh that. I think instead of making posting and blogs a requirement how about weed out the people that haven't logged on in a while then go from there. My final thought is that I believe these new requirement for pw's will only breed nonsence posts and blogs just to get the pw's. Only leading to clogging this place with junk.

yea they do to a certain extent but its got to be done...

I have to say that I used to agree with you - but because of all the outcry with the new rules I started reading and commenting on others blogs, and then had the nerve to write a couple myself - not great literay achievements, but at least I made myself do it. Then all of a sudden I started to get on the site more and really start looking for blogs that I found interesting - and now I'm addicted!! Whenever I get on my computer I HAVE to check out the latest blogs - see if I have any new friends, or messages (which I don't so maybe a few of you could visit my page and write me something???? I'll do the same for you...) I don't do it for the passwords anymore - I just enjoy seeing what others think and what is going on with them - who is winning, bad beats, etc. I have a lot of other hobbies, but now I have one more. I've been a member of a couple of other forums but find this one to be the most user friendly. You can really say what you want and not get bashed - even that the new rules stink.

So gl on the felts and I hope you win big in the freerolls.

have to agree with you their. I havent been bloging or commenting on other railbirds blogs, till last week now that I started I find myself logging in a few times a day to look at the blogs
bigword Nov 6, 2008 10:42 pm
bye, wish i could say you will be missed, but i have no idea who you are. Hope you find some one else to give opportunity's to win free moeny for nothing.
eXeC- Nov 6, 2008 10:43 pm
i guess it's just to note whether people are active or not
tennkid777 Nov 6, 2008 10:44 pm
I agree with Whizzy up there. I have never had a problem getting a password. Before or after, and if you dont get it anymore you are not active enough. It is a privalge to recieve pws not a right. If u dont like it go somewhere else.
raider3601 Nov 6, 2008 10:55 pm
It is strange how someone will spend a day complaining about the being active when it takes a few mins of effort to get them
