Three Rules of Poker

Each of us have principles, ethics and, often, superstitions that we live by. After playing live and online for awhile, I have settled on three rules for the felts.
1. Never berate other players at the table. Everyone has some reason for their style of play whatever it might be. What do you expect to accomplish by calling someone names? You end up looking like the fool in the end.
2. Never play with money you need for something else. If you don't have a steady bankroll, or the money on hand to refresh that bankroll, don't even go to the tables. Ok, so if mom and dad are still funding you,it might be easier. But if you have responsibilities away from the tables, take care of them first.
3. Stay even-tempered every hand. Whether you win or lose, keep your table demeanor the same, preferably pleasant. This is not about having a good poker face. Nope, this is about being pleasant to be around. Take everything in stride. You will always be welcome at the game.....and you just might make some good friends.
The winter poker world is really heating up around here. I've been playing almost every day. Still checking each day with railbirds but not playing in as many tourneys as before. Hoping to find a balance between live and online play soon.
Enjoy the beauty of the autumn....Winter is on the way.
