Show when someone pays to see them. You can shut that feature off if you want, it will auto muck for for !

....Tc....

never show. . always keep them guessing
ecoutee72 Nov 6, 2008 12:29 am

i always muck

MaverickMechanic Nov 6, 2008 12:31 am
Lots of times I only show if I can tell they think I was bluffing and I was'nt. Course that will be more difficult on line.
locochaser Nov 6, 2008 12:34 am

Don't show unless you have some strategic reason to do so. For example, if you've established a very tight table image, it's sometimes profitable to show a bluff in order to get more action on future hands when you have good cards. On the other hand, if you've created a tight table image, it can be just as profitable to start bluffing a little without tipping your hands afterward.

I will sometimes show in an effort to put someone on tilt (after a big bluff) or to help establish my table image (tight, loose, whatever).

Just one crazy person's perspective.

TWEEET!!!
freakyfish00 Nov 6, 2008 6:14 am
I do both for a few reasons
If I have a tight image I tend to start to bluff alittle
If I get a good hand in there and I get respect i might show it just to keep that image

on the other hand I might show a big bluff to get players off their game and starting to Tilt br />
Overall though I prefer the Pay to see
If ya wanna see em you gotta pay

Show a ROYAL FLUSH
bullishwwd Nov 6, 2008 6:31 am
I think one should "mostly" auto muck, except when you have a "reason" or strategy to "imply" something to mis-lead your audience of players. In other words, "show" only when you have a tactical reason for doing it...one being to get action on the table or setting up a trap.
emb_30 Nov 6, 2008 6:37 am
like others have said it is generally best to muck em
sida77 Nov 6, 2008 6:44 am

yeah auto much everything except when u play with friends coz nothing beats the feeling of bluffing and then rubbing it in

onephinepeace Nov 6, 2008 6:50 am
Never show, ever ever ever. Unless you know exactly what you are doing and exactly who you are playing with. Chances are you are giving up way more information than you should and realize. I would say as an extremely rough estimate that 99% of players should never show, win or lose. Myself included.
snljjc Nov 6, 2008 9:50 am

Only reason to show are to create a image at the table usually opposite of how you are playing. I still would rather not show myself.

Markie141 Nov 6, 2008 10:28 am

I like to keep my options open , generally they have to pay up !

but there are times it pays to show to either loosen someone up or tighten them up , depends on what I want them to do at the time lol , but I like them to wonder normally lol

I never show if they ask , unless I'm playing friends for fun lol

bj2207 Nov 6, 2008 10:43 am
Never, ever show unless you have to. SHowing your hand when you win without a showdown just gives free information to the others at the table.
woffice Nov 6, 2008 10:53 am
Turn "auto-muck" on. It will remove any temptation to show your hand. I honestly cannot think of one reason why I would want to expose my cards voluntarily. If I win, I want them to think it's because I have the best hand. Every time. Or I'm bluffing, every time. Either way, if they don't know what I'm playing, they can't try and use it against me. Some of the pros say to show a bluff every once in a while to let the table know you're "reckless" and may have any two cards at any time. But if you get caught in a bluff at showdown, they'll see them anyway. So why bother? IMO
doops Nov 6, 2008 2:11 pm

I set auto-muck to remove the temptation to show. I sometimes want to show because I had them SOOOO beat, or because I bluffed them. I sometimes want to show to underscore my current table image. But, bottom line, I prefer people to be kept guessing. I don't want them to have any information about how I play and what I am likely to have. If they pay to see, it's unavoidable.

Auto-muck. Don't show.

If you do show, I will appreciate it if I'm playing with you, tho.

And, BTW, making it to pink in ONE DAY--- impressive!

jandlhart8 Nov 6, 2008 2:24 pm
If I have taken down several pots in a row, I lilke to show a strong hand. Making them think I just play monsters or nuts, helps me pull off a timely bluff or 2 later in the game when I've gone card dead.
20_lb_stack Nov 6, 2008 2:55 pm
You gotta pay to see'em. I'm not smart enought to try to confuse my opponents, so I muck everything no payed for.
