What's Blog got do to with it?

Nov 5, 2008 5:04 pm Report Abuse

What's blog but a second hand emotion??

/Shrug

Don't know. It seemed catchy. Well, here it is. My first blog and I"m not even sure what to write about.

I'm thinking maybe a daily update of my poker games, what I won, where I won, what I lost. How I felt about it all at the end of the day. Which new friends I made that day on railbirds perhaps.

What's this you say? A blog about poker on a poker site? /faint /bestill my beating heart :P

So yeh, think that's what I'll do. It's 9:05 AM, Wednesday Nov 5th/08 and I'm about to start my day of casual, small stakes poker mixed with fr's across the galaxy. I'll let ya know how it pans out for me.

Alright, I totally sandbagged myself with the check on the river, thinking, if he bets, I'm moving all in cuz he's bluffing. He flat bets what I had the whole time. I convince myself at this point he has higher pkt pairs, called initial 150 with low/mid pkt pairs and hit a set or played A/Rag and caught his rag.

Why am I posting this?? simple..you now may laugh at me, this has got to be one of my worst plays in ages..someone slap me

and done........It's a good start today, even with the terrible first play. At least the donks in the fr's are holding up. First hand dealt to me KK, i raise from the 100 raise to 200, get 5 callers. Flop comes QcKd5c, i raise to 400, everyone folds, someone moves all in, i call. he shows 7/10 hearts. Big surprise to no-one that the turn is a J and the river is a 9. lol embrace your inner donk young jedi

Totenbach Nov 5, 2008 6:12 pm
2 FR's reg'd and out of, donked out of one and beat by 7's against my J"s on the other, I can take that and smile at least. Still feeling good and no sign of tilting to be found. Getting ready for some more donkfests and perhaps another double or nothing 1.10 on PS, if ya ever want to find me, that's where I'll be mostly. They are nice to build small bankrolls with

looks like your off to a good start on the tables today glgl
Totenbach Nov 5, 2008 7:58 pm
Ty Ty Sue...Lost out in a couple more freerolls since but doing okay in the Daily 80k donkfest as we speak, keep you updated
grantnumber5 Nov 5, 2008 8:28 pm
LOL GL to you on and off the felts my friend, have a good one and yes by all means give us all an update
Totenbach Nov 5, 2008 8:59 pm

Well, the Daily 80k donkfest came and went, i managed to survive through a bit.

Dealer: Totenbach finished the tournament in 664th place

guess I can be happy with that, all things considered, I actually played poker :P

Totenbach Nov 5, 2008 9:50 pm

Well, it is now 1:45 pm MST. I played alot of fr's today with no real successes, alot of FR beats though that just has to make a guy laugh. Did play my second double or nothing of the day though and took it down again.

Dealer: goro7 wins the tournament - congratulations!
Dealer: ishi39 wins the tournament - congratulations!
Dealer: mdpokerkid75 wins the tournament - congratulations!
Dealer: polobounty wins the tournament - congratulations!
Dealer: Totenbach wins the tournament - congratulations!

I really do love these things, depsite the utter boredom of playing them. Playing with my meager investments, they are actually a good way of keeping your bankroll up so you can afford the bigger buy in tournies.

Overall, I had a decent first part of my poker day. Paid 2.20 to win 4 dollars. I know..huge ROI and all but they are fairly simple and I seem to cash them alot.

Even with the silly play in the fr's, my mental state is still intact and I'm smiling. We'll see what happens later tonight after I get back online.

Totenbach Nov 6, 2008 4:24 am
well, that's the end of the road for the night. Ended up cashing 3 of 4 double or nothings for a meager profit, no FR cashes to speak of for the day. I am still smiling however as poker is my secret lover. Have a good day all and GL to you all at the tables.
