    Can someone tell me what i did wrong..

    I called a 850 raise with the nut flush draw with two players in the pot giving me very good odds.

    I've just suffered a tirade of abuse from Rugar23 for calling him. When I questioned his 850 raise with top pair he just started calling me a donkey and getting abusive..

    Learn to value bet. The river min bet cost you chips. You should have at least put in 300 chip bet on the river. Never expect the player to reraise you. Put a decent bet with the nuts, high enough to get paid, as it is hard not to call 300 chips to win a 4000 pot. I would call or check behind with top pair most all of the time. I would not reraise that at all. So it is up to you to get some extra chips out of it. GL in the future, but don't worry about the chat. I ignore it for the most part, unless it gets over the top insulting.

    We've all been called "donks" before when we've made a play that's busted the other guy. Funny thing is Rugar only had top pair and went all the way with you, and you having more outs.

    Oh, and I'm sure that your "Donk Play" was what took you sooooooo deep in that high$ tournament the other day too.

    I spoke with Rugar, and he stated that YOU got abusive with him........I'd really like to see the rest of the chat.
    Oh, and his top pair bet should've taken all but higher PP off the hand, btw.

    I agree with spiltbongwater, the river bet should've been much higher. I just use the ignore feature when people start ranting at me and leave them to tilt why I concentrate.

    Really don't see the abuse with what you posted, although I don't understand why Rugar23 would see your playing as being a donk. Hell I would have tried to put him all in. You hit the absolute nuts. He was actually the donk for pushin with just a pair.
    Some peeps don't take a key loss well at all and will tilt. Purely a lack of poker maturity in both etiquette and ability.
    Apparently there is more to this than what you are telling us, though. It seems that you had a rebuttle to his donk comment that escalated this situation to the point where you feel the need for justification through the posting of this blog, otherwise you would have let it slide off your back.

    only really bad play i saw was him playing so weak on the turn. If he loved his top pair so much, he should have pushed when the trash turn card hit.
