OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats awful, but thank GOD you didn't break your spine, or back, or anything!...wow! try percodan, or ask the Dr. for morophine. or maybe increase the dose, but be careful!, all are highly addictive. Wish you nothing but the best, keep us posted on your progress. God Bless, you will be in my prayers tonite.

Yes thats a big ouch for sure. I wish you a quick recovery.

My dad was an Iron worker . He was unloading steel beams off of the truck well the guy in the crane wasn't paying attention good enough and one of the beams started to slip . Sooooo he had to jump off to get outta the way of being crushed by the beam. He landed on his feet but his heel ended up in a hole and it was shattered.

I know the pain he was in so I know how bad the pain is your having.

Back then they really didn't have the know how to fix it like they can today.

Good luck and my prayers for a speedy recovery will be with you through your pain and recovery.

ouch!! Feel very sorry for you. Maybe tell doc you need stronger painkillers! Good luck and heal fast.
Acousticdude Nov 4, 2008 2:05 am
Had back surgery about a year and a half ago. I understand the pain thing. The Percs didn't work? You need to call your doctor and have him give you a stronger dose. Weight bearing pain really sucks. Are you Icing down the heel? Here's to a good recovery.

Oh so sorry to hear that I can feel the pain as hubby fell 3 weeks ago now and broke left leg and left shoulder. I hope you call the doctor and tell him what he gave you is not working, Friday is a long way off when you are in pain. Take care hope it heals well, and you are all better soon .
uskuukusku Nov 4, 2008 2:16 am

Ouch man ouch.

If the percs aren't working I'd recomend getting the dose uped. Watchout tho. Percs are really not fun when you got to stop taking them.

Also, don't ice it. This will cause the muscles and tissues to contract, and if there are indeed shattered bones, you risk further internal injuries. Further, icing the injury will cause the capillaries to contract, decreasing the blood flow, limiting you bodies natural painkillers access as well increasing the over all time for your body to access and repair damage tissues.

Good luck at the specialist. If its shattered, chances are your gonna need screws, pins and plates.
