Why is poker getting boring?

Oct 25, 2008 2:26 am Report Abuse

Is poker getting boring for you? Have you ever felt that poker is not fun? How do you get over this feeling? I feel really bored now that I am stuck at one limit for the past year. How do I get excited?

Change up what you are playing.....if you usually play NLHE, switch to HORSE, or any of it's components.

try to better your game,,,,,put a peice of tape on your computor screen so you can't see your hold cards,,,see how far you can go,,,,,,,,or try playing more tables at once that will keep you jumping,,,,,good gaming and good luck

take a few days off a week or even a coupld of weeks, just whatever you need to come back fresh with a good attitude. attitude isalot in poker. a good attitude gives you confidence which boosts your play significantly. gl and play on.

Poker is not getting boring, your play is getting better. When your play gets better, your playin less............. thus, you may feel bored.

But then again, just my opinion.

Be safe / be well

take a long break. I took three months off awhile ago, because the game was getting repetative and boring to me.

when poker starts getting boring....

happens to alot of us, usually because you're waiting for cards to hard,

your most likley folding winning hands and kickin yourself for it.

you need to get back into position, mix up your playable hands. do some excerise while waiting for tourneys and really keep your focus on the game and winning. if you just done, youll need a break.. couple days , get drunk hang with friends and get some good nights rest

At times it does get boring, sometimes really frustrating playing freerolls with all the donks so I try and play alot of heads up matches. Start with 2.00 and after a couple wins go to 5.00. I have found that playing multiple games at once keeps you on your toes, especially if each one is a different type. Also hit the felt off the screen, it can be really refreshing to talk with someone in person at a real table. Hope this helps. Gl on the felts.
