Phil Hellmuth's tirades in the WSOP Main Event were really over the top, even for him. Repeatedly calling Dragomir an idiot after he called his raise wih 10, 4 and then hit the 10 the flop. Hellmuth should have been sent to the rail for verbal abuse but was not. A qualifier would have certainly been given a timeout. Then again, a qualifier would not act like that.
Here's a view from the rail of the same incident. (it says he was penalized, but aside from ranting, he did not go to the rail).

it was an idiot call with 2 potential live cards. you go broke real quick making those calls.
It's obvious that this has become apart of his game he belittles the poker players that call him with junk so they will think about their play and if they try it again bam he shows them the nuts just ask scotty, it works, and if your surprised that phill would do something like this then you havn't been watching poker that long.

Phil as much as told the table he had AK the way he went on and on about his opponent having Aces or Ace Queen. So he had to know his cards were live, no potentially about it....
Dragomir said it best when he pointed out that he actually "PAID" the 10k to play(therefore could play any two cards anyway he pleased) and Phil was freerolling on UB s dime(so basically Phil stfu)...
The is no reason what so ever to act the way he did- even with all his records in holdem In my opinion Phil is a negative Influence in poker!!! and the main reason we see some many rude people online. I wish one time his wife would just say STFU and play!!!!!!
I was very happy to see Dragomir stand up for himself he is absolutely right its his money and if he wants to spend it trying to bust the jackass at the table he is allowed to to it.
If Hellmuth would learn some self control and keep his mouth shut at the tables far less players would make these kinds of plays vs him but he really brings it on himself and I dont blame other players for wanting to bust him.
Considering some of the stuff Phil was raising with -- especially after he got 'caught' with J4o -- how could he be surprised that opponents were starting to call his raises with less than premium cards?
Of course, after watching those Hellmuth tirades on the WSOP, I get the sense that a lot of players on Stars and FT use Phil as their behavior model.
From a viewer perspective what cheap entertainment (cost of my Foxtel subscription)
From Dragomirs perspective he won and got chips.
From Phils perspective, he lost chips, respect and credability just as Scotty Nguyen did in the HORSE (except Scotty did win I the tourney).
As the popularity of poker has growen so has the size of some egos it appears to me. The "pros" should understand that the size of the prize pool is made larger by the large amatuer participants not by the number of "pros".
Ever notice that when one of the name "pros" does a similar thing and wins the hand it is called a "move" or "great read" but a not so well known player/amatuer it is a "donk/idiot" play.
