the us is i bad shape either way!!!!! i think obama has the best chance of getting worlwide espect for our contry but I think mcain has abetter knowabouts of how the wAY THings need to be ran. In todays global way odff things I have to go for world support over experience and credentials so OBAMA is my vote. for the reaon that I just mentioed lol. Oh yeah I am drunk so I might repost tomarrow lol

I aint american but i would vote for obama. MCain backs all buhs's decisions and policies. If you guys elect him then things wont change for another 4/8 years. @ least with obama you still have a chance of pullin ur country (and the rest of the world) out of a new economic recession.

McCain all the way. I'm not going to elaborate on why i won't vote for Obama but there are many significant reasons why i dont think he is able to lead this country. He may win, he is ahead in all the pools, but there are things that havent been made public that are very detrimental to this country. Obama has made some very, very poor decisions in the past, and has had quite a big hand in the reasons why this country is in the poor economic situation that it is in. Do a bit of in depth research and you will see what i am referring to.

Obama was the lead organizer, and legal expert, on a board called ACORN during the Clinton administration. they pushed Clinton to force lenders and mortgage companies to give housing loans to low income families who without this regulation could not have afforded these loans. Clinton gave into their measures and forced these companies to give loans to people who could not afford them, which lead to the mid-90's "housing boom." this allowed mostly minorities to afford houses that were way out of their price range, and these are now the same people that are having their houses foreclosed, even though they know they cannot afford them. Obama says he has seen this mortgage crisis coming all along, even though he played a critical part in the events leading to this crisis. if he had the foresight that he so often speaks of, then he wouldve seen this becoming a problem in the mid 90's when he was still a lwayer in Chicago. im not saying Obama is a bad guy or anything, i just believe that his economic policies are an effort to try to fix a problem that he played a key role in creating.

If the "rest of the world" had a vote, it would be Obama by 80%+,.. He is the only one who can save your country from ruin, and possiibly get you some worldwide respect back.

and to diver: Obama was trying to help poor people have homes, nothing wrong with that at all, it was the wallstreet people who screwed up. If more people own homes then you are more recession proof and have happier, more productive citizens. There was talk a while ago about giving all the ones defaulting, 100,000 dollars each, instead of giving it to the creeps on wallstreet who screwed up.that would have cost about 3 billion, not 7 billion,.. and that way all the people would still have homes and the economy would get a huge kick start. those people would spend locally and improve all the little economies which in turn would make america very strong indeed. but sigh, that is too socialist for y'all,..

But you and your rebublican friends have done a marvalous job of bringing the greatest econimic power on earth to the brink of bankrupcy. You've doubled your dept in 7 years. Nice going child. Spending money you don't have on tax cuts for the wealthy est 2% has got your country were it is. Trickle down economics was a Lie since reagan. And it sure is today. More people living below the poverty line than before Reagan. The rich get richer and the middle class disappears. I will cut this short.

No civilization in the history of mankind has ever concentrated the vast majority of it's wealth in the hands of the few and sustained it's self. Or if you like the biblical. Greed is one of the 7 deadly sins. So much for Republicans being "christains". And we aren't even into the "death Penalty and an inocent man murdered on the cross by capitol punishment. His name was Jesus Christ!! Be a hyporite on your own time "nero". Rome is burning!!! You need adults. Obama may make a difference. Rebublican values are irrelevent until "TRUTH" is actually spoken from thier lieing mouths.

There are three votes for Obama coming from my house. If the economy gets much worse, we will be lucky to still have that roof over our heads. Besides our present economic condition to consider, you have to remember the Supreme Court , and who the next president will appoint there. The changes that three new Supreme Court judges could make in their life long positions could have a very big effect in our lives.

McCain wasnt my first choice for prez, but hes a patriot and i trust his judgement.

Though I like Obamas energy plan, Commander-in-cheif of the united states armed forces is a huge responsiblity.

literally having the power to destroy the entire world at his/her command.

No matter how the liberal media attempts to paint McCain as a puppet of the Bush admin, the truth is McCain is an an indepent thinker and has opposed the bush admin on many topics.

Who do you think got torture of al qaida prisoners of war banned? bush was all for it in interest of nat. security.

McCain opposed it because as a man who suffered years of torture himself at the hands of the viet-cong, he understood the inhumanity of it as well as the basic fact that if we torture other nations prisoners, nothing stops them from torturing our own brave soldiers who fall into the enemies hands.

Its difficult not to be swayed by the impressive rhetoric of obama, but i saw a different side of him during the debate.

He impatiently interrupted Mcain throughout the debate in the manner of a petulent child.

Obama has excellent speechwriters and gives an impressive oratory.

but when he was forced to do some thinking on his feet, he showed an angry side and in my opinion was trounced in the debate by the superior logic and wisdom of McCain.

I considered strongly voting for obama, but his actions have spoken louder than his words for me.

perhaps in another 4 years when he has gained more experience in diplomacy i will consider voting for him again.

Now, all that being said....wouldnt it be nice to have a president for once who works as hard for the people in his office as he does in getting elected?

The so call financial crisis is fabricated. It's not anywhere close to the mid to late 70's when we had 21% interest rates, 20 plus% inflation, long gas lines because gas was rationed.

As far as your question goes I will be voting for neither one of them. The Libertarian Party will get my vote.

Stan you mention the Congressional Budget Office, the last time I looked the Democrats had control of both houses of Congress and they are in charge of the Congressional Budget Office.

there are certainties with either candidate. with mccain you know the country will not be bullied by the world he will be strong on foreign policy, and he will stand up to special interest groups. with obama it is certain that the welfare lines will be there and they will be longer than they have ever been. he will not be strong onforeign policy just like clinton. the only way to eccectively change the course of our nation is to vote wisely when it comes to who we elect to congress, get rid of idiots like nancy pelosi and the kennedy clan. the congress is where everything starts and they have a lot of power to change the way our country runs. i will be voting for mccain even though my vote doesnt count as i live in taxachussets and they will vote for the dem no matter who it is
